I only go to the theater a few times a year, and the only 2 that I'm super-excited for are The Princess and the Frog and Up. I may check out A Christmas Carol, too.
I agree with Dottie- I really don't know much about most movies coming out next year, so there may be one that I haven't heard of yet that I'll want to see...I just don't know yet!

Definitely seeing the following in theaters:
Up
Star Trek
The Princess and the Frog
HP6
Avatar
I had one more on that list, and I can't remember what it is. Any other movies can wait for DVD or strong word of mouth.

So many people wanting to see or expressing interest in Sherlock Holmes. STOP IT! Go and hire the Jeremy Brett TV series DVDs instead.
Do not encourage Guy Richie any more!

Sorry, netty. I'm interested in it mainly for Rachel McAdams.

It could be directed by M. Night Shyamalamadingdong for all I care. Robert Downey Jr. is in it. I *HAVE* to see it.
Cheers,

I'm shocked that some of you aren't listing
The Princess and the Frog. And you call yourselves Ultimate Disney members....

Well, I have
Up,
A Christmas Carol,
When in Rome, and
Race to Witch Mountain listed! Four Disney films (or 3 Disney and a Pixar) is better than one!
Regarding
The Princess and the Frog, from the get-go I was never really interested in it. Disney or not, it's not a story I'm interested in seeing, which is why it's not on my list. And even if it's a grand return to 2D animation, it's not something I'll go out of my way to see in theatres, if anything I can wait until Kram buys the DVD. I've become less enchanted with Disney animation (be it traditional or CGI) over the past year, so my interest in the film simply as an animated one has waned as well.
*dodges tomatoes and other Disney-shaped objects thrown my way*
Plus, I'll probably be too busy rewatching
Star Trek on DVD over and over again (assuming it's on DVD or Blu-Ray by Christmas 2009) to even think about seeing a movie in theatres...

We're not going to throw Disney-shaped objects at you, because you'll just become disenchanted with them.
I like your honesty, but how and why are you becoming less enchanted with Disney animation?!? Are you just talking about new movies, or all the Disney animated films?

Better yet just buy The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce on DVD.
As for Princess and the Frog I'm in the same boat as Scaps. For me as soon as they made all those PC changes and decided that Randy Newman should write the songs I was like "ewwwww". I'll still see it, but it might be tough to endure.
Back on Topic:
Coraline
Up
Race to Witch Mountain (maybe)
Watchman
uh... X-men doesn't interest me anymore, I don't care for new Holmes, I don't want to see another version of A Christmas Carol, I never liked Star Trek, Wolf Man and Dorian Gray I'll stick to the originals, Transformers wasn't that great, New Moon and Harry Potter disgust me, 2009 isn't that exciting for me.
What about Power of the Dark Crystal?

Up
Public Enemies
Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince
Fame

I know that Were The World Be Mine was released this year, but I hope we get a screening in Texas soon. I'm not sure when Shantaram and The Rum Diary will be released. And I'm sure there is many I haven't heard of.

I forgot about this. If I have money when this comes out, then I might see it...it'll probably be $15, though, and it'll probably be on Disney Channel not too long after it comes out...I just don't know. But I'm glad that it's on your list, Milo!

Now to get someone to go with me for that one. Everybody's too busy saying they suck, just because they're overrated doesn't mean they're bad. Every body

"The Princess and the Frog" (even though we'll be getting it in 2010), "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". That's all. Maybe "Angels & Demons" too, but I'm not really fond of all the changes they made to keep it PC.

I've forgotten some :
-Inglorious Bastards
-Young Victoria
-The Lovely Bones
-The Road
-The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

Rachel McAdams is pretty!

Pity she was cast in the not-exactly-a-cinematic-masterpiece The Hot Chick. She was the best thing in it.
