Am I enough of a regular member? I try to post here when I can but I'm not the type to post "me too" on everyone's threads or anything...

The thing is, I dunno what else to get besides video stuff  I would get some DVD, but seeing as how this is a Disney forum and I'm sure most people here have a ton of those anyway, it wouldn't really mean much anyway.

For some reason I keep missing the sign-up for this even though I've wanted to do it for a couple of years now. If Luke accepts me I'll actually be able to participate this year.

I would love to make a t-shirt from Disney design and send it to the address that I'd receive although I would need some info on the size, so pls remember to mention that with your wishlist UD members.

To answer a question posed to me in e-mail: No, you can't request a member. That sort of defeats the purpose of Secret Santa. If you want to drop out because of that, be sure to send me an e-mail to that effect to santa@ultimatedisney.com

I would also like to strongly discourage the deliberate sending of hair or any other genetic material. That too is not what Secret Santa is about.

Thanks. Three more days to sign up and then I'll let you know who we'll be able to fit this year.

Well, there goes the "Instead of a dog, have an Albert!" gift idea. Now what am I going to do with Albert 2.0? ;)

Well, the point was that you mail your genetic material so the recipient can clone you. If the idea has been rejected then you shouldn't have any problem, since it's presumed you haven't already created the clone seeing as it's somewhat impractical to get Albert 2.0 shipped with DHL or FedEx. :P

I guess you could always sign him up on UD under the pseudonym of Insertapay (or Deletapay or PageUpapay or CapsLockapay or anything else you can think of ...). Alternatively you could have him stand in for you during work or lessons and your superiors will never know. Just make sure he knows your life story.

Call me crazy, but I think might he have been SERIOUS!

I think he might have been talking about using Secret Santa as a way to prank people by sending disgusting stuff, like hair and such.

I know I am being crazy, but in the past I've participated in Secret Santas in which one person decides to be "unique" and prank the person. The worst I've ever seen was a dead lizard... O.o

So yeah, Luke might have been kidding, but giving the warning does help ;) .

The whole "sending a hair" idea actually stems from last year's Secret Santa. Jules had joked that if he had been able to participate that year, maybe he could send a hair to his Secret Cindy Lou Who so they could clone him and he'd finally get to meet a UDer in person (well, his clone would). I then continued that by posting about it in my "Dear Secret Santa", along with a random high school memory of my friends who once said they wanted to clone me and sell me as a pet (hence "instead of a dog, have an Albert!"). And the letter ended with a PS to The Little Merman saying I would send him a lock of Leonardo DiCaprio's hair so that a clone could be made for his own personal use.

I'm guessing though, that Luke is ensuring no further clones be made (such as Albert 2.0), as that would wreak havoc on the world and upset many religious groups, not to mention the whole scientific community! At the same time, though, thanks for the warning, pap and Luke. I'm sure none of the UDers will prank anyone this year (right guys? RIGHT?!?). The worst anyone's done is not give a gift at all, and they've all been summarily dealt with.
Jules wrote:you shouldn't have any problem, since it's presumed you haven't already created the clone
Well, what if I had already created Albert 2.0? :P

He could always use one of the chat room names I used during Election Night. PalinIsMySugarMama has a nice ring to it, don't you think? ;)

(And now watch some smartass sign up for UD with PalinIsMySugarMama and try to have people think he's my clone. )
Jules wrote:Alternatively you could have him stand in for you during work or lessons and your superiors will never know.
Oh, they'd know. Albert 2.0 may be a newer and improved model, but he ain't as awesome as the original.
