Eh, it got your attention, didn't it?

Cool!

Sparks is a love/hate kind of guy. You'll either fall in love with his sentimentally-sweet stories or hate that they're so sentimentally sweet.
The Notebook will likely always be my favorite of his (and one of two I actually own, I've simply borrowed the others but never felt compelled to actually own them.), and the movie adaptation is one of the best I've seen (for movie adaptations of books). I remember hearing about the book in '96 on "Oprah" (yeah, yeah) and getting it at Borders a couple weeks later out of curiosity.
A Walk to Remember is the other Sparks novel I own, though I can't seem see it on my bookshelf right now (Jane borrowed it a couple years ago, so it's probably in her room). The movie was nice, but I didn't really care for it. Maybe because I pictured other people Landon and Jamie, and couldn't warm up to Shane West and Mandy Moore (they're good as *a* Landon and Jamie, but they're not *my* Landon and Jamie, if that makes any sense).

I'm currently re-reading the HP series (at beginning of OotP just now). Yeah, I've read it so many times before, but this is the first time since the final book was released and I thought it'd be nice to read the series as a whole for once. After that, I'm going to try reading some actual classics that I've never got around to. I haven't read anything in forever, and I was thinking about Great Expectations, Little Women or Gone With the Wind. I've seen films of all three and the books are always better.

Never, ever, ever, ever read
Great Expectations!!!!! It is probably the worst book (well, it came out as a serial) ever written!
Seriously, I had to read it for English and I don't think a single person (except for my teacher) read it because it was so terrible. If you want to read a boring book, go ahead. But: beware...

On a different not, I'm a little bit past the middle of
New Moon. Now, I know that I said I would quit after
Twilight but I usually like to finish a book series unless it is completely impossible. NM is definetly less interesting than
Twilight but is totally predictable (for instance:
I knew that Jacob was a werewolf, it was pretty much stated in the last book and is a dead give away in New Moon). Though it is getting slightly better than the last 200 pages, I heard that this book and
Eclipse are the worst of the "Saga," so I'll have more boredom reading the next book. At least I already know what is going to happen in
Breaking Dawn so I won't completely be bored.

There, that's better
sorry

Sequel, you might want to edit your post- the text you made white (your spoiler) did not become white. I didn't read it, because I don't want anything spoiled, but just FYI!!!

Actually, Sequel, most Twilight fans love Eclipse...
I would rank them:
Twilight
Eclipse
New Moon
Breaking Dawn
I didn't really like Breaking Dawn because the characters were so...well, out of character. And I hated Jacob in it, although he was my favorite in the first three.

I wanted to bump this to let everyone know about an amazing book I'm currentley reading.
Title: "The Lovely Bones"
Author: Alice Sebold
Page Count: 328
Summary:
In 1973, Susie Salmon is raped and murdered by a neighbor, George Harvey, a serial killer of young girls. She finds herself in Heaven, observing her family as they grieve for her. She also watches her killer who, having covered his tracks successfully, is preparing to murder again. Susie struggles to balance her desire for vengeance on Harvey and her desire to have her family recover from their loss.
I'm almost done with it, and highly reccomend it to everyone. A movie version is coming out in December with Rachel Weisz, Saorise Ronan, Mark Wahlberg, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Amanda Michalka, and Rose Mclver.

Currently reading Peter Pan and the Secrect of Rundoon.
The story starts at Stonehenge, where Lord Ombra was seemingly destroyed in Peter and the Shadow Thieves. Though weakened he uses his power to possess others to gather himself together so that he can return to Rundoon.
Peter, wounded by the Scorpions (A tribe that invaded Mollusk Island), is kidnapped by Captain Hook along with the Lost Boys, but soon they are all captured by Lord Ombra and taken to Rundoon. There they are imprisoned in the dungeons of King Zarboff III, a cruel and vain despot in cahoots with the shadow beings.
Zarboff reveals his plan - to shoot rockets into space to make starstuff fall. The first attempt is successful, and he plans another, using the new starstuff to send the rocket even further. He does not know that the shadow beings intend the second rocket to rupture the fabric of the universe and cause it to collapse into nothingness. It falls to Peter to prevent the rocket from reaching its destination.
The Starcatchers series is a work of art very creative, gives an in depth look at Pan's backstory from a thrilling perspective and addin some reflectons to the orignal story. The tone stays in touch with Barrie's world and kepts the reader guessing of what's round the corner for the characters.
