You could try this site:

http://www.avatardb.com/

Click on the "animated" section. Some appear as if they aren't moving but once you click on them they do.

This one's a bit of a mixed bag, some are animated some aren't. You have to scroll down and select a section which is going to apply to your tastes though.

http://www.iconator.com/

If these are no good. Try using a search engine for "animated avatars". Hope this helps.

Thanks cj that is the quickest response I have ever had! I don't have time to sift through all those pages right now as I only have 8 minutes internet time left, but i will next time.

Does any one know how to make your own at home?

I usually just use a photo editing program (most people have PhotoShop, but there are plenty of others that are just as good, and plenty of others that aren't).

Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to re-install the program I use (ArcSoft PhotoStudio), because I can't find the disc for it. My latest Gromit avatar was actually done with Paint. Which isn't so bad, but there's that extra white bits around the Jack-o-Lantern that I can't get rid of.

And Widdi, thanks for that Gromit & Doctor avatar! I may just use it one day (maybe in December as the Doctor will have another Christmas Special!)

Damn I missed this!

I would have suggested this:

A pink elephant to the one who remembers who this is.

If you fancy, you can remember her by her really for real official name:

In-Nanna Sħuna

Last May I even made a website for her ... which I've never updated:

www.freewebs.com/juliancarter

Did I ever tell you that as a character she was created during a Biology lesson? It was Clayton (a friend) and I who dreamt her up.

Wow ... one thing leads to another. Once, Clayton saw me surfing Ultimate Disney on a school computer, and apparently he made an account here. Lemme find it ...

Here!

He never used it though.

I keep forgetting that you speak Maltese, unfortunately none of the webpage translators I know of have a Maltese to English translation option!

Nah ... you don't need to know what's written. I included the url just so you can get the idea. I doubt Maltese software translators exist, but I guess the special characters like Ċ, ċ, Ż, ż, Ġ, ġ, Ħ and ħ would pose a problem - because to type them I use the same keys for [, ], {, }, `, ¬, # and ~ since the characters can't be found on a conventional English keyboard. Hence the computer will see the Maltese word "ħaġra" (trans. "stone") as "]a[ra". See what I mean?

*sigh* Online language translation is so far from perfect. Wonder if one day we'll actually get flawless translators? :?

Hmph. I feel horrible when this happens, but I don't know what you mean. :P What in the world is a "tardis"?

I hope this doesn't make me look thick, like the Prince Regent in the third season of Blackadder. God, that guy is stupid!

Jules, Jules, Jules, Jules, Jules.

If I could only teach you one thing, it would be the wonder that is "Doctor Who"

TARDIS = Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space

It's a living spaceship that will automatically translate for you anything that's in a language you don't understand, so you'll see and hear everything in your native language, and everyone around you will see and hear you in theirs.

Example:

A Chinese man walks up to me.

CM: 你好
Me: What?

But if the TARDIS's energy/whathaveyou was in my head...

CM: (what he says) 你好 / (what I hear) Hello!

Me: (what I say) Hello! / (what he hears) 你好

Not everyone is blessed with the knowledge of all things Doctor Who Scaps. Some of us choose to hide in the darkness and be ignorant to such things as flying telephone booths and super-imposed images of a persons faces in space while we supposedly go though tube like atmospheres. Yes, as hard as it is for you people who live outside our own societies is to comprehend why we choose to shelter ourselves, we just do. Some of us actually enjoy only viewing programs that may be exceptional in their own nerdy nature way of watching puppet robots watching things that may occasionally reference the existence or virtues of your program, we choose to ignore these truths for the benefit of ourselves. We know it is impossible to comprehend your beliefs and we know we can't handle yours. Can we handle the truth? No, we can't handle the truth, so forget it Scaps....it's Chinatown.
