the re-dubs are terrible.

some of the things they say don't make sense and it's very loud and toony and dumb and... just plain awful. YUCK

I'm afraid they are going to use the childish new dub again for the October release. So I won't buy it, and I'll order the beautiful gift set from the UK.

There is this business going on now over here.
There is so much request for the original Dutch version, that people are starting whole operations to make and sell dvd copies and bootlegs of the original Dutch version, and they sell really well.

I can't blame them, it's what the country wants.
This was to be expected, as people want their original versions.
The ones they grew up with, know and love for years. So of course they don't accept a new one with horrible quality (anyone can tell, just compare the clips, if Disney America would watch the clips the would insist they use the old dub immediately). But apparently they don't, so people are forced to take matters into their own hands.

People at Disney can blame themselves.
And in a way they should be happy, because this version actually sounds like the American version, instead of the new crappy dub.

I'm sure there will be plenty of bootlegs available in October, with the restored version of the film combined with the original Dutch language reel, so I look forward to that.

I've already seen a trailer for the polish Sleeping Beauty PE. I strongly belived that they woudn't do re-dub, but this belive was onehuge mistake. The voices sound terriblle and nothing compared to old version. Of course, I have it on VHS and I can see them with first dubbing, but not for a long time. I used to watch this movies as chld once-twice a week, sometimes even more. And when VHS will break down, I lost my favourite dubbing ><'

I am really worried that Disney might have redubbed the Norwegian relase of Sleeping Beauty so that it will "fit better" with the new additional voices that will be on the Blu-ray Disc-features...
