I would have never guessed that he was voicing Bolt either! My wife was just asking me who it was and I said I didn't know. Guess I'll have to go tell her!

I rewatched the trailer a couple more times, and Penny's mom doesn't look as bad. I do miss new traditionally animated Disney films. I know that TP&tF comes out next year, but I still miss it. "Bolt" looks good, sure, but, to me, it's not as magical as traditionally animated features. It's just not.

But, if the story is good, then that truly is what counts above all.

I saw the trailer for this today at Wall-E and I have to say, it actually looks a lot better than I thought it would. I still don't care for much anything has done past 1999, but this one looks somewhat promising.

Oooh that was a cute trailer, Thanks for posting! I'm actually looking forward to this one. Not like Meet the Robinsons or Chicken Little(I wasn't really excited for those two, but they turned out to be okay). To myself, It doesn't really look like your classical Disney movie, but nothing lately has been up there that makes me go WOW NOW THAT WAS SOME DISNEY MAGIC! But nonetheless, I definitely wanna see this when it arrives.

The more I watch the trailer, the more I like it. I don't care for the cat's voice, but I do like the hamster character a lot! Looks like a really fun film.

I saw the trailer today while seeing Wall-E. It looks fantastic. It's the only trailer I saw that got any kind of a positive reponse from the audience. At first i didn't think that audiences would really be attracted to this film, but after i was walking out of the theater I heard people comment on how they were excited to see that new disney movie about the super dog!

Really? I was sure Bolt would be the movie to end that trend...

The trailer looked great, even Miley Cyrus' voice didn't piss me off. Bolt is officially back on the "Must See" list for the remainder of the year (I would have seen it anyways, but now I will see it on opening night).

No Julian, we're saying (well some of us) we preferred Sanders' designs to the designs were getting.

After that trailer I still think Travolta is wrong for Bolt. I can't imagine what went through the casting director's mind to even bring up Travolta's name. Is it some sort of wierd favour for Travolta? Has he always wanted to voice a Disney animation and this is the result of his lobbying? I really have no idea, but when the production literally had thousands of actors they could choose from, Travolta's inclusion is just odd.

You know, I'd rather they have a professional voice artist, like Jason Marsden for Bolt.

And what's with it being a "Disney Comedy Event" - are Disney apologising now for the film not fitting into their "classic" formula? Was Lilo and Stitch a "Comedy Event" or "Enchated"?

Enchanted is classic.
I think that John Travolta is fine .
I thought you meant James Marsden when you I read that .

Well, at least Will and Grace (like The Office) is actually funny character-based material - - rather than "funny" like the unfortunate decibel/spaz/poo brand of humor.

Wouldn't it be sad if "Walt Disney" settled for being DreamWorks?

First of all it's DISNEY,not Walt,Walt is DEAD,there's is NO WALT anymore.
Second,this film feels MUCH like a Pixar film then anything else,Chicken Little,Meet The Robinsons or even The Wild more feels like Dreamworks films/other CGI films.

I wouldn't go as far as to see "there's is NO WALT anymore." Walt's influence is definitely still there (in recent DACs). I think at least. Plus Meet the Robinsons was basically a tribute to Mr Walt. There's even some Walt in the Dreamworks features. I.e. all the parodies in Shrek.

Walt is still? no? there you have it,no Walt,and Meet The Robinsons being a tribute for him doesn't change anything and doesn't revive him.
It's Disney,it's baiscly people who think that Over The Hedge is a Disney movie keep call it Walt Disney.

Bolt looks horrible. Any hopes that I had after Meet The Robinsons have been utterly erased. I can't believe Pixar would let this be released in this way.

The Death of Disney CGI should have happened after Chicken Little, but somehow it has survived to this deal. Thank goodness Rapunzel will be the last.

Um, Pixar has nothing to do with this. You can yell at John Lasseter if you want, but Pixar is its own thing.

You do know Lasseter is the head of WDAS now right?

Pixar might be their own thing, but Disney's animation is currently heavily influenced by the Pixar guys.
