Here is a link to some info on What a Ken Doll is...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_(Barbie)
I know what he is because I always had to play barbies with my little sister but then she slamed the door on me when I tried to bring Disney Toys or my TMNT action Figures to interact with Barbie and friends
Also according to some info on the link Ken is not out of the picture they just don't issue him as Ken... it's Barbie's Boyfriend and apparently Ken's Replacement doll, Blaine have halted production...
I heard Blaine went back to his old job of being the Fire Pokemon Gym Leader on some volcanic Island in a Video Game....Magmar missed him too much...
In 2006, the California Barbie doll dumped Ken for a Cali Boy name Blaine. When this happened, Ken markets plummeted. Only did a famous shirt line, saying "Barbie Hearts Ken" with "Hearts" crossed out and "Dumped" Inked in save Mattel. Ken dolls are still being sold as "Barbie's Boyfriend." Blaine dolls have ceased.

I'm going to have to analyze that list later when I'm not so rushed (very cool post!), but I'm naturally excited about all the Tink stuff! It seems they'll be doing more than one after all! I just hope they're all good!

And with this news "Bolt" goes from being number 7 on my must see list of 2008 to not being on it at all. I can't stand her voice.
"The King of the Elves" sounds neat, but I guess this means "Joe Jump" has been canceled/delayed?
"The Bear and the Bow" and "Newt" also sound fantastic. I'm still not feeling "Up" and "Cars 2" is something I really could care less about.
Still can't wait for "Wall - E", "The Princess and the Frog", "Toy Story 3" and "Rapunzel".
The fairies line is something I have no interest in.

The entire Press Release is over at animated news:

pretty jawdropping. Pixar is getting really busy.
I wonder though if King of the Elves is the previously announced second handdrawn feature?
Best part is John Goodman is in Princess and the Frog. He rocked in New Groove and Monsters, Inc. he's awesome.

For me, Miley Cyrus too does somewhat cheapen Bolt. I seriously doubt she was cast because her vocals precisely matched the director's intentions for Penny, hence bringing out an otherwise lost artistic perspective. Yeah ... it's for publicity. Add to that the fact that this film has a plot I can't help doubt will be overshadowed by this year's other animated films.
Nevertheless, I am not letting that spoil my enjoyment of the film!

I'm still looking forward to it immensely, and am dying for a teaser trailer of some sort (why haven't they issued one yet!? I'm going to crack

) In the end, Miley Cyrus' voice is not going to ruin a movie. Don't let one element of a film make you turn a blind eye to the rest of its merits.
Aaaand, for all we know, Miley may produce good voicework - let's not count our eggs before they hatch.

Gosh! That animated news article shows the logos of the films! I'm sure they will undergo revisions, but I don't think they'll change much.

That article gives some more detail on
King of the Elves, and shows a cool layout attendees received. It makes me drool! I so wish I could have been at something like that myself and seen and heard John announce the films.
It says there are going to be follow-up articles outlining the other films. I'm curious what's going to be said for Bolt, which we know had 15 minutes of its running time screened to 'hearty appaluse'.

Don't forget his wonderful voice-work in The Jungle Book 2.
A lot of these projects don't get me too excited(I still predict box office disappointment, probable failure for Princess and the Frog), but an animated short based on a Philip K. Dick story rocks my world.

I disagree on Princess and the Frog... I think it's going to do really well. I guess we'll see, but it seems to me that people have been waiting for something like that.

Just as George Lucas revised/upgraded his original Star Wars trilogy with technological improvements, I hope Pixar will re-render the humans of the original "Toy Story" for their release of "Toy Story 3-D."
I really don't like that part of the original movie. The humans in TS2 were greatly improved, but those in TS1 are hard to watch for me.

1) Do we have any info on whether "King of the Elves" will be in 2d or CGI?
2) Do we know who is going to be the composer on Rapunzel and whether there are going to be any songs?
3) Will the Tinkerbell movies stop after the 4th one since they are associated with the 4 seasons?

Will Bolt be animated and if so, in what form?
BY FAR, I am most looking forward to The Bear and the Bow! I'm crossing my fingers for some wonderfully fantastic quality!

Bolt will be animated, in CGI of course. I thought it was common knowledge by now. After the teaser pics and all...

Wow, I'm surprised at all this flood of information suddenly coming out now. I think the movies I'm really looking forward to the most are The Princess And The Frog, Rapunzel, and The Bear And The Bow. The plot description to The King Of The Elves sounds really interesting as well. I hope that they decide to go with tradionally animated for it like Princess And The Frog. I'll have to look up the story and read it since I haven't heard of it before.
