Watched this the other day. Bit of a slog, but they had a perfect cast, particularly Cruella and Nanny, imo. I think if they'd cut some of it, it would've been a little more fun. The scenes of Cruella and Anita at work at the beginning were always the best parts of the movie; I liked that they explored Cruella and Anita's relationship to one another a bit further, and Cruella's outfits are probably the best in those scenes, too.

DisneyDivinity, I fully agree with your comments.
I always felt the first half of the movie was pretty great... until after the kidnapping, when it becomes a lot of puppy slapstick. But that first half, I think it's one of their best adaptations (if not the best).

The first half is really good. There is a scene where Cruella talks to Jasper and Horace after they've stolen the 15 puppies, and I remember Glenn Close laughing maniacally. That laugh is so chilling, and I love the way she stomps her foot. I really love her performance. The score is super intense too.
I kinda like the second half too. It's like Home Alone, but with puppies.
