Some of donald's cartoons from late 30s/40s contained Donald muttering Ass to his mule or somebody else and let's not forget that infamous scene of him/Daffy Duck competing at Ink/Paint club in Roger Rabbit and Donald was rumored to call Daffy the N word

First off ass and jackass are not bad words when refering to a donkey. Though, I do remember being in first grade and gasping everytime it said jackass. But I was such a mature child that mid-way during the film I realized they were talking about a donkey.
Hell is also not a bad word when refering to the place "Hell". Which is what Maleficent and Frollo refer to in their films.
Disney animated films don't use bad words. They work around them. Characters have come close to saying "ass" (refering to their butt) numerous times, and children don't notice it.
I know growing up in a Bible Belt, I had to be very careful when I used God's name in vain. It's not a good thing to use his name in vain, but it was a habit of mine... I also wasn't allowed to read Harry Potter, and when I began reading The Lost Years of Merlin by T.A. Barron, books on Roman, Greek, and Egyptian gods, The Witch at Blackbird Pond (which totally wasn't what I was expecting truthfully), and some books on the Salem Witch Trials, my parents asked if I was some Satan worshipper! I'm not kidding!

Sorry for the rant, but goodness, it's beautiful where I live but it can be very ugly.

The only reason people think Potter's bad is because it's about teaching kids magic, witch they call witchcraft occasionally (Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry). And even though J. K. Rowling does base some things off legendary ingredients used in witchcraft, it's not like real witchcraft and there's no worhsip of anything.

When people give problems about Harry Potter I remind them....Wizard of Oz contained good and bad witches. Fairy Godmother and the three fairies who helped Aurora all preform good magic to help the hero/heroine. So if we are gonna cut down HP, then classics like Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, and dare I say, Narnia should all be cut out from childhood reading. Yes, Narnia contains Christian influence, however, satyrs, centaurs, unicorns, griffons, etc...all have roots in pagan mythos. So as much as people want to place Narnia to godly status, there is plenty of pagan influences, and many of those pagan creations are on Aslan's (aka, the GOOD) side.

Also, Salem Witch Trials, there is evidence that NO ONE executed at that time was a practicing witch. Most of the people who were executed then were either midwives, herbal medicine doctors, or property owners.
Why?
Midwives....back then only MEN were suppost to practice medicine and midwives were becoming more popular. And often used over and above male doctors. The male doctors didn't like it, spread rumors that children born with the help of a midwife would be the child of the devil. That midwives tainted their souls. All to make money.
Herbal medicine doctors...again, mostly women. And again, hated by male doctors.
Property owners. Let's say I have a small piece of land and the crops are dying. But my neighbor, his land is bigger, he's got beautiful draft horses, and his crops are plentiful. I go to the court, tell them I saw my neighbor practicing witchcraft. My neighbor is immediatly arrested and placed on trial. Denying you are a witch gets you torture till you say you are a witch and then they put you to death. Or you could take door number two and skip torture, go right to confession you are a witch, and they just kill you. Either way, as reward for turning in an "evil witch", I am rewarded with their land. Even men who held office were not safe from this tactic. Rivals at election time would shout "witch" to their rival and have them executed and be hailed a hero.
Greed and fear created the Salem witch trials. Not actual witches. Be sure to educate your parents sometime.

My parents aren't usually ignorant about that stuff, though, which really surprised me while I was reading the stuff about the witch trials and such. I was reading those books about people unrightly accused of witchcraft who didn't commit it, yet my parents got all torn up about it.
You haven't heard about my uncle yet though. Don't get me started on him. Bleh... As soon as I get an opportunity, I'll leave this place.

Ahem... getting slightly back on topic, I agree with Blackcauldron85: stop hating on Let Me Be Good To You. For being in a movie with not a lot of songs, LMBGTY stands out to me in a big way and is one of two reasons that I even bother watching that movie. Plus, Melissa Manchester does absolutely fantastic on the vocals and I prefer this song to to most of her Top 40 Hits. Did the filmakers intend to make that part so upsetting? Probably not. Is the song necessary to the plot of the movie? Not necessarily. Are the majority of us grateful for its inclusion? I certainly think so.

None of us are hating it. We're just saying it could be seen as sexual content in a Disney film. It's certainly sexual referencing.

I agree, the scene in GMD is risque. Offensive? No.

Esmeralda's pole dance also comes to mind. I remember reading the animators used Demi Moore's Striptease dance as a model.

Where is Let Me Be Good to You? Is it in an animated film? I'm completly confused.

Oh, I would have mentioned that, but that probably just falls under "suggestive."

My teacher had us watch Radio (2003, starring Cuba Gooding Jr.) this week, and in one of the scenes, I believe the term "monkeyshit" is used several times. It's pretty obvious; no coverup. It might have been "somethingelse-shit", but I can't really remember. This was Wednesday.
