Speaking of remakes...
It would be fun to put the Disney Channel remakes of the classic Disney movies with the DVD of the aforementioned movies. Does anyone else remember:
Freaky Friday w/ Shelley Long
The Shaggy Dog w/ the guy from Full House and the voice of Aladdin
Swiss Family Robinson w/ Jane Seymour

I remember all of these and I loved them! I also liked Beverly Hills Family Robinson with Martin Mull and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Most of the movies i would like DIsney to put on DVD are the ones found on the Disney Channel. One that just aired that I missed was Eloise at Christmastime (I got Eloise at the Plaza for Christmas), as well as Cadet Kelley, Get a Clue, and the remake of Computer Wore Tennis shoes (Kirk Cameron).
As with others, I would have to add Song of the South.

BLT 2/3 ARE on dvd, you just need to search a bit to find them. They came out the same day as BLT1. All the shorts on Spirit of Mickey can be found on one of the three Mickey Mouse Treasures tins. And 101 Xmas will probably show up to coincide with the 101 Platinum release if it is an October release.
And as for adding Hercules Zero to Hero, I agree with it, but have you gotten aqquainted with the EDIT button? Helps concerve posts and save bandwith.

I also liked it - but why "desperately"?

My reason is because it has always been one of my favorites and that is the film I most want to see come to DVD!

now some of you may know my stance that EVERY disney movie deserves the same fabulous 2-disc treatment on DVD. Here are a few, however, that i would most likely rush off to buy:
The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band
The Happiest Millionaire (even though i already own the roadshow dvd from anchor bay)
Kidnapped
All the True Life Adventures series
All the Zorro series
The Shaggy Dog
In Search of the Castaways
That Darn Cat! (original version)
All the Parent Trap sequels
The Fighting Prince of Donegal
The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin
Moon Pilot
Third Man on the Mountain
Toby Tyler
Johnny Tremain
Almost Angels
Summer Magic
Lt. Robin Crusoe U.S.N.
Never A Dull Moment
Charley and the Angel
Hot Lead and Cold Feet
Along with the rumored releases for this year:
Darby O'Gill and the Little People
The Three Lives of Thomasina
Freaky Friday
The Herbie movies
Son of Flubber
Miracle of the White Stallions
etc. etc. etc.
By the way, i haven't seen some of those earlier listed titles, but i've definitely heard of them.....they are some of the hardest and most expensive to find on the net (i.e. The Waltz King, Mr. Boogedy, Escapade in Florence, The Mooncussers, Child of Glass, Willy and the Yank, etc.). Hopefully they will see the light of day on dvd soon, because I would definitely purchase those as i know most any disney fan would.
and if disney is feeling generous, they could through in special editions of Texas John Slaughter, and The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca

I would love to see "Beauty and the Beast: A Concert on Ice" make a DVD appearance. It could include a documentary on the other B&B Ice shows, which was missing from the Platinum DVD.

Welcome to the forum...
I'm not sure if you know this, but Pete's Dragon IS available on DVD. I'm not sure about the quality of the print, but the extras are pretty decent:
- Theatrical trailer(s)
Animated short (Lighthouse Keepers I think...)
"Where's Elliot?" game
Excerpts from Disney Television shows
Disney Family Album w/ Ken Anderson - supervised character of Elliot
Development Art Gallery
Behind The Scenes Art Gallery
Advertising, PR & Merchandising Gallery
Widescreen anamorphic format
You can buy it from Amazon and support this site through this link:

Hey! Welcome to the forum of Disney fan boys (and girls)!
Like Loomis said, Pete's Dragon's already available on DVD. And in case you're interested, Luke, the webmaster, wrote a review of it which can be located
here!
