I don't think that matters. Did Nadia make a lot of money and become world-renowned? Did King of the Jungle? Did Kimba? Did Larry Hotter?????
I don't think so. Disney just took the ideas and improved upon them.

Now I know there's legal rights and stuff, but I'm not willing to get that complicated. School let out on Friday, so my brain has offically shut down until January 5 (or 6th of it's a snow day!)!
Are you referring to the GoodTimes Movie??? It was around in stores before tha Lion King came out, I own a copy of it.

Well it is important, because Disney themselves are notoriously letigious. If you support Disney taking above-average inspiration from other films when making their own then basically you're against smaller companies or individuals. Disney can't have one rule for themselves and another rule for others.
