No, you're not the only one. I have a probelm with it too! Even the biggest fans of something usually aren't expected to buy multiple versions of the same thing (in this case, video game systems) just to know everything that goes on in the ficticious world they love. I mean, us fans of certain Disney characters don't have to buy multiple DVD players or television sets (except to get a better, High-Definition picture). And I guess some character games do span different consoles. But this is one magical universe, one series, with a whole tale to tell that they just can't tell in one game (or movie), so that story shouldn't be split onto different systems so you have to get all systems to know the whole story!

Anyway, since I love Sleeping Beauty I'd like to get the one with that world, but of course it's on the PSP, which I don't have (I have a cell phone and a DS!)
I'm now a bit embarrassed that I have a 360, PS3, Wii, DS, PSP, PC and Mobile

I also think it's pretty ridiculous to have one game series on many different systems.

But Kingdom Hearts was the only reason I bought PS2, and the thousands (ok... hundreds  :P ) of hours spent playing both games were more than worth it though. The only other games I have for PS2 are the Transformers game (y'know, the one based on the Armada TV show) and Oogie's Revenge. Oogie's Revenge I could've gotten for Xbox and I could live without the Transformers game, so if it weren't for Kingdom Hearts there wouldn't be a PS2 in my house! (buuut like I said, it was well worth it!)

North America Press Release
A New Chapter in the KINGDOM HEARTS Series Delivers Three Brand-new Titles to the Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, and Mobile Phones

Los Angeles (September 21, 2007)

Square Enix, Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan, Square Enix), a leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software and services, announced three new titles in the award-winning KINGDOM HEARTS series at the Tokyo Game Show 2007 held in Makuhari Messe. The untold story of another hero.
Organization XIII, Number 13, Roxas

In KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days, you will explore a variety of Disney worlds in not only single-player mode, but also in multiplayer missions made possible by the unique networking features of the Nintendo DS.

-Twilight Town-
Roxas and Axel were watching the sunset from their usual spot on the station's clock tower after a long day of collecting "hearts" from the Heartless, as ordered by their organization. When their daily work ended, they often spent their evenings there. They talked about the day's work and other things over ice cream.

"Do you know why the sun looks red as it sinks below the horizon? It's because among the countless colors comprising light, red travels the greatest distance."

"You're just trying to show off, Axel!"

It was idle chatter between two boys without hearts.
This is the untold story of Organization XIII's Roxas.

The Keyblade is said to hold phenomenal power. One legend says its wielder
saved the world, while another says that he wrought chaos and ruin upon it.
—from Ansem's Report (KINGDOM HEARTS)

Long before Sora took up the Keyblade, there were other Keyblade masters. One of these masters, Xehanort, disappeared one day along with his apprentice. This event proved to be a foreshadowing of great disaster to come. Aware of the threat, another master ordered his three apprentices to seek out Xehanort and his cohort.

This marks the first collaboration between Square Enix and the Walt Disney Internet Group.

After the events of KINGDOM HEARTS, Jiminy Cricket returned to Disney Castle to organize his journal. While he arranged his records, his eyes fell upon a page with a mysterious message.

We must return to free them from their torment.

However, no matter how hard Jiminy tried to recall the source of the text, he couldn't remember. So the King digitized the contents of the journal and started an investigation. Within the world traced from the contents of Jiminy's Journal, a boy awoke on Destiny Island. It was the beginning of a new quest for a virtual Sora.

If I had to guess.. I bet we will only be getting 2 of those three games.. As Japan as plenty of Cell phone games that are exclusive to only Japan only.. and have never come to the USA.... so I think its a given that We will get the PSP and DS KH games probably not until next year... but I wouldln't count on the KH cell phone coming to the USA....

I'm defenitly gonna get the game now that they have a Sleeping Beauty World in "Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep" on the PSP.
Any guesses on the other worlds on the game ? , since Sora isn't the main character and that it takes place before KH 1 & 2, then I think that would imply that many worlds which made an apperence in the previous game won't make an appearence again, so here are some good guesses :

Snow White's world, because the world was already destroyed by the Heartless in KH1 and probably wouldn't make it to KH3, and I really want an Evil Qeen boss fight ! :)

The Jungle Book world, because it's ideal for an action rpg game.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame, it was high on demand, but didn't make it, maybe coz Square Soft are planning to save it for Birth by Sleep.

I bet you'd be happy if Halloween Town came back! I would too, it's probably my favorite world in both games (movie bias ftw lol).

Also, I think I heard some where that Deep Jungle from the first KH was supposed to be a Jungle Book world but they changed it to Tarzan. And quite frankly I'm glad that they did.

*FREAKS OUT* OMG! YEEESSSSSSS!!!! But I'm like Ariel'sprince, I want them on the DS, 'cause that's what system I have!

Disneyboy, I have some important questions. Are these games like replacement ones for the prequel that was rumored to be on the Playstation 3? Like these all are the prequel? Or will a prequel be coming out after these?

So do i :D if not-there's a Disney Princess game for DS anyway,(and i bet Cinderella and Aurora will suffer for what they did with Belle,Jasmine,Nala,Ariel,Alice and Mulan, but if those worlds will appear on the DS i"ll buy it).
And i think these are the prequles.
Do you think Atlantica will be back? i allready know that Agrabah will.

Disney's Divinity posted these in another thread, but I thought I would post them here. This link shows screens of Cinderella's and Sleeping Beauty's worlds in the PSP game, "Birth By Sleep":

The castle with thorns is obviously Sleepiuty's world, the castle Aurora sleeps in that Maleficent puts thorns around. The staircase Sora fights on is part of Cinderella's castle, as seen in this picture from the film:

OMG, I can't wait, :o

I'm pretty sure that Snow White's world is going to make it, coz she got her world destroyed the same time Cinderella and Aurora had theirs destroyed too, so this would be a logical game to place it in since it's a prequal !

BTW I don't think Halloween town or Agrabah is gonna make it, coz there won't be a good plot any more. :(

This game looks darker than the others so I'm hoping for The Black Cauldron and Hunchback of Notre Dame worlds more than Snow White and other Princess worlds

If they want to make Kingdom Hearts more gothic and dark, they should defenitley add a Snow White world !

Agreed! What, yamiiguy, you didn't notice Sleeping Beauty's thorny castle being covered in darkness? The princess films are considered happy happy just because evil gets defeated and they have happier moments than other films. That doesn't mean evil isn't in them at all! A Queen tries to kill her stepdaughter, a fairy curses a baby girl to die at 16, the powers of Hell make a fire-breathing dragon! And if you want gothic, that definately would be Sleeping Beauty, what with the film's backgrounds and color scheme based on gothic medieval tapestries.

Also, this game is "Birth by Sleep", and so having tw princesses who fall asleep (SLEEPING Beauty and Snow White) just makes perfect sense.

I hope some magic transforms the guards that chased Cinderella at midnight into evil beings on evil horses. That coach chase scene was dark and action-filled, a lot like Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and it could be included in Cinderella's world as a darker moment.

That's the YouTube link for the KHII: Final Mix teaser. Looks pretty damn amazing, I think. I wasn't even aware that the PSP graphics could look look that good until I saw and played Crisis Core so I can't wait for this game, nya.

Hrm... That boy (I think his name was revealed to be Ven?) looks a mighty lot like Roxas.

[EDIT: I made a boo-boo.]
