I just spent the day at Hollywood Studios today. Such a fun day, I was glad I got to spend the whole day here - it kept me busy. I still love Hollywood Hotel ride, so much fun, especially at night. And the Rock n' Rollercoaster is always pretty cool too. I think I got to see and do everything I wanted to, with the exception of the Motorcycle stunt show? Is it any good, does anyone know? The Fantasmic show as the end was really cool too, I loved that. Tomorrow I am off to the Magic Kingdom, I can't wait!! :)

It's pretty cool the first time, but repeat viewings would get tiresome (a fate that had befallen the Indy Jones Stunt Show, at least for me)

An “Eggcellent” Addition to the Backlot Tour

The Studio Backlot tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a new prop on display, and it’s eggcellent! Guests can see the colorful chicken coop that appeared in Hannah Montana: The Movie. In the film, Miley Cyrus’ character stays up all night to rebuild the coop for her farmhand friend Travis.

Buena Vista Construction Company, Walt Disney Imagineering, and the Scenic Shops partnered to bring the movie prop to the Studios.

“Jackie Herrera is our WDI curator, and when she saw this was available, she jumped at the chance to get it here for Studios guests.” said Wyatt Winter, Walt Disney Imagineer.

Guests can see the chicken coop, which is one of the largest props on display at the Studio Backlot Tour, as they exit the Special Effects Water Tank and enter the queue for the tram tour.

Hi,
Gorgeous pictures. I would really dream to be there since I have never never been there. If you and your family love movies, then you'll also love The Great Movie Ride in Disney MGM Studios, which takes visitors through scenes from famous films. Other popular rides in the MGM Studios include Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and The Twighlight Zone Tower of Terror. And if you love the great outdoors then Disney's Animal Kingdom, which opened in 1998, is sure to appeal to you.

Loolking forward to going to Hollywood Studios next week. Using my Give A Day, Get A Day ticket. Have a dr. apt. on Wednesday & Disney on Thursday. Lucked out in the hours. Closes at 7 every night except Thursday the 7th (my day) when it's open 9am to 10pm. Should have a lot of fun with a full 13 hours to spend there. Mom's 81 & will be happy that we can take our time. No need to rush around with that much time. Definitely getting our volunteer ticket money's worth.

Visiting this park for the first time since 2006, I thought I would have difficulty calling it by its current name, as I have a habit of still calling baseball stadiums by their original name before the corporate name change.

But it was not the case here, as I started to refer to it as Hollywood Studios in my head instead of MGM, as soon as I arrived there. I could not never attach the Disney name to it though, even if the common acronym for this park, is DHS.

I can't call it Hollywood Studios. For some reason that makes me think of the Disney Studios in Paris. I still call it MGM and always will.

Visited it again in May (on the first day of Star Wars). Got there early with hopes of getting Darth Maul's signature on my SW blu ray set. My God, the people had started lining up at midnight the night before & the next morning all the fast passes were long gone. Still had a great time. What a terrific place. Spent most of the day there & will go back again during the summer (before my annual passes expire, not renewing). Want to go later in the day & stay for Fantasmic again. Still have a hard time not thinking of it as MGM.

I've never ever been to a Star Wars Weekend event, but as awesome and badass as Darth Maul is, I'd personally prefer to meet Darth Vader simply because he was THE original Star Wars baddie and he's just downright awesome! :P
