Come on, Lazario, don't bottle up your emotions; tell us how you really feel.

Oh, and I can't think of any culture where being told you have the mental capacity of a first grader isn't considered offensive.

I, too, think the show's funny and witty. I don't think many first graders are familiar with Marcel Proust or From Here to Eternity. If you know any, I'd love to meet them.

Um... this is Gilmore Girls we're talking about. Perhaps you're confusing it with another show and that's why you're making this mistake. I'm not waiting for things to get straightened out. You know, personal problems are for personal time. But, don't let a fight get started because of an evil show like that.
I wouldn't say that show sucks if it weren't true.
And my comment to James was not offensive. Like I said. Because, I didn't say anything mean. Besides, I don't think he's oversensitive. He'll understand.

You know, there are about a zillion other posts about wretched Gilmore Girls on this board. Last I checked... this wasn't one of them. Why don't you... go... to one of... those threads? Sound like a plan?

No, Gilmore Girls is a terrible show. That's all there is to it.

Well, here's the Gilmore Girls set, as well as season 7

Though I've never been a fan of the show this set looks pretty sweet

I'm still dying to get my hands on the
Friends set! I already own Season One, but I only paid $11 for it, so that doesn't bother me. I'm also tempted to give in and purchase
The Brady Bunch set, but I'm not sure how often I'd watch it after one viewing.
The funny thing about the Full House set being announced today is that I just sold all of my season sets to a friend of mine this morning. I did it because I've honestly grown tired of the show and would much rather earn some money to spend on something that I would watch often...like the Friends set!

Who knows, maybe I'll become a fan again, someday, and purchase the CCS with the house packaging (which is awesome, I might add).
Some Complete Series sets I would love to see released are...
The Lucy Show
Here's Lucy
Life with Lucy
Bewitched
Threes Company
All in the Family
Veronica's Closet
That '80s Show
The Ashlee Simpson Show

Although the design's a bit...girlier than I expected (the actual season sets packaging represent the show much better), it still looks nice. Since there is apparently no extra material outside of the episode guide and complete Gilmoreisms booklet, I'll simply buy season seven alone to go with my other sets. While I like the image chosen for that season's cover, I don't like how the color scheme is a repeat of season five's. Hopefully in real life it'll be more red than pink since every season so far has gotten its own unique color.

I only saw a couple episodes but they were actually good.

Please, just stop it. Everyone has his own opinions about things and even you have to accept them. Nobody says YOU have to like it, but others do.

Well, it's been made very clear that Lazario doesn't like the show, and we'll all just have to accept that, but just know Laz that Gilmore Girls does have a fortunately vocal fanbase and maybe you should pick your fights better next time. For the record, that 1st grader comment didn't offend me, but it very well could of to other people, so maybe you should reconsider your insults and comebacks. Thanks to those who have defended both me and the show, which is, in my opinion, very cute and full of wit, humour, and many other superlatives that I can't be bothered to think up right now.
Anyway, that box art for the seventh season looks great and those complete box art looks fantastic. Even though it doesn't really keep in theme with the other sets, it still looks great, and I really want it now. My sister will probably get the other individual seaons, and I'll eventually get that great complete set. Can't wait.

The only complete series sets I own are:
Six Feet Under-The Complete Series Gift Set.
I absolutely LOVED the show, but, I couldn't afford to buy the sets, individually. The price was outrageous! Then, around last Christmas, with some of my Christmas money, I got this great set for half-price, due to Best Buy's 50% off HBO sale. So, I got it for $125.00 plus tax, if I remember correctly. This is one instance where I'm glad I held off buying the individual sets.
and
Star Trek: The Animated Series - The Animated Adventures of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek
I caught a few of these as a child, and being the
Star Trek fan I am, I had to pick this up.
I do own the complete series of
The Golden Girls (which doesn't have a complete series set, yet), as well as
Sex and the City (which does have a complete series set). I imagine at some point Buena Vista will release a Complete Series set of
The Golden Girls. If it were to have some great packaging, and some substantial additional bonus features, I'd buy that! With
Sex and the City, as much as I love the show, I decided not to double-dip on it, despite the awesome package and the extra bonus disc. I may buy it, someday, and give my individual season sets to my Mom, who loves the show, as well.
I own several other series on DVD, but, do not have every release. I'll eventuallly buy the remaining seasons. I own seasons 1-4 of
Full House, seasons 1, 2, 5 and 7 of
Roseanne, seasons 1 and 2 of
Bewitched,
Desperate Housewives, and
Grey's Anatomy, seasons 1 and 3 of
Star Trek: The Next Generation and season 1 of both
Nip/Tuck and
The Flintstones.
I will be adding season 3 of both
Desperate Housewives and
Grey's Anatomy, as soon as they are released. Also, season 1 of
Brothers and Sisters. I also plan to buy
I Love Lucy: The Complete Series DVD, as soon as it is released.
Eventually, I intend to pick up the season sets of the original
Star Trek series.
Of course, money being no object, I'd have a much bigger list!

Well it looks like my wish of having a complete series of The King of Queens is coming faster than I thought:

AWESOME! I didn't even think of that when I was compiling my list of shows I'd like to see released. I'll be adding this to my collection for sure!

Don't forget the Twin Peaks "Gold" Box.
http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=7500
Sigh. Another double dip on a Paramount controlled TV property. You know, I used to defend Paramount when people were jeering at them for their somewhat lackluster DVD extras. At least Paramount always (or almost always) too the time to clean-up and remaster their DVD transfers rather than just pulling existing masters for cheap DVDs.
But now, well, I am disgusted at Paramount's TV-on-DVD releases. And yet, if nobody buys the individual season sets, they'll stop them and claim no interest. Perhaps people just don't have an interest in being ripped-off rather than no interest in the show.

Oh, "disgusted" is too
kind a word for what I think of Paramount right about now.
Dottie wrote:Please, just stop it.
You know something, a lot of people say things that we don't want to hear. Too bad, so sad. But we
all have to put up with it. I've had to put up with dozens of "ooh! Gilmore Girls 5th season (or 6th season... any season, it's
just an example) coming to DVD!" posts "OOH! I can breathe! The world is great, the worst TV show of all time is having another DEVIL season hit the Wal-Mart shelves and I can have another 4 discs of brain-rotting, drooling-all-over-myself delirium to look forward to!"
This is My Revenge. It's not much, but it's all I've got. And I will have my say, because you all had yours.
Had yours. Besides, if I'm the evil, bitter, whatever one and you all are great,
don't reply.
Maybe I'll stop talking about it.
James wrote:Well, it's been made very clear that Lazario doesn't like the show
I don't like the show the way I don't like being stabbed in the belly with a telephone pole. Because it's common sense. Bad show, no like. Pretty basic, I think.
Every show has a fanbase. So what, that doesn't mean it doesn't suck. Which Gilmore Girls does. Also, I have not used any insults or comebacks. This is not a fight, just a misunderstanding on the part of everyone else but me.
Check this out: Most shows aren't definitely good or definitely bad. But a few are, and this is one of them. Definitely bad, that is. I don't pretend to be a great TV expert. But I've spent untold years honing my Bad-TV knowledge.
Everyone can reply all they want, this is not going to change. If this was purely a matter of taste, like all those other shows in the middle of the Good/Bad scale, I wouldn't feel compelled to say anything about it. So, that's what "we" have to accept.
James wrote:the show, which is, in my opinion, very cute and full of wit, humour, and many other superlatives that I can't be bothered to think up right now.
Well,
in my opinion, you are just
making all that up so a show
you like will sound as though it's good when it actually completely sucks. 2 can play at that game.

God it's really starting to annoy me the way you always have something to say about everything Laz. If you don't like the show, then just don't friggin' comment about it. Simple. Just keep your mouth shut, or your fingers off the keyboard. None of us go into threads and bitch about shows that you hate, it's just in bad taste. Just shut it okay. We get you hate the show with a passion and will defend that passion at all costs, so let's end this debate now. Lazario hates Gilmore Girls. I accept that, and everyone else does. Let's move forward, and stop provoking us. Okay?

Sorry James, but I have the right to say what I want to say about this show. And I will.
Besides, I already clearly stated: we all hear things we don't want to hear. It's a fact of life. And I've heard enough pro-Gilmore Girls stuff on the board. I didn't like it, but I put up with it. Now I've had enough.
Since your advice was completely disrespectful, I'll offer something a little more constructive: I think the best solution to this is if you post some of your wonderful Gilmore Girls stories in a pro-Gilmore Girls thread (one of the many headache-inducing ones already here). I promise you that I won't go into that thread and sabotage it.
However, you can't control my actions in this thread. And it's wrong of you to think you can. Just because you and your friends want to say 'majority wins' doesn't fly in my book. You don't want to read it, take a walk out of this topic.
Okay?
