I'm not sure what cell phone company this commercial is for, but I get a minni-migrain every time I hear the (in operatic voice):

"Every call you get is FREEEEeeeeeEeEeEEEeeEEEEEEEEEeeee!"

Drives me bonkers!

And also, its a good thing that Burger King is very well known and gets plenty of business anyway, because if they relied solely on ther television advertising for their income, they would be flat broke.

Oh yeah, I just thought of another ad that turns me off: namely, those Chef Boyardee commercials with the sasquatch that eats a can of a Chef Boyardee product, can and all, and then turns into a human boy. At the end, it says, "Feed your inner beast."

Huff. I wish I knew what commercials you are all talking about and could join the conversation. I might be able to think of commercials I hate but you probably wouldn't have seen them anyway.

I've got a new one to add to this list. It is driving me crazy!

To preface, I absolutely love Snickers candy bars. In fact, they are my favorite candy bar. However, I absolutely hate their new commercial. Whoever came up with it should be shot!

If you haven't seen it, I'll describe it. It begins with what can only be described as butt rock. Then, there is a big viking, driving around a beat up looking car, pulling up to different events, honking the horn, and yelling, "FFFEEEEEAAAASSSTTTT", in a deep, grating voice, while either taking men away from the event, or the men just going and jumping into the car.

Everytime that commercial comes on, I dive for the remote control, to mute the television. I can't even stand the sound of it. It's hideous! In fact, it makes me want to stop eating Snickers, that's how much I can't stand it!

Whew. I'm glad to get that one off my chest.

Everything on TVB. (TVB is a Chinese-based cable channel, and I swear I've been seeing the same frickin ads for almost five years now.)

Apple's "1, 2, 3, 4" iPod Nano commercial. It was catchy at first but now it's just annoying.

Carl Jr.'s "Flat Buns" commercial.

Not exactly a commercial (since I haven't see one on TV), but I'm just about sick of the Halo 3 advertising.

I am not annoyed by the new Apple iPod Nano commercial, yet.

I agree with you on the "Flat Buns" commerical. It's just plain terrible.

I am also 100% with you on the Halo 3 advertising. It's just pure hype, and the series is extremely overrated.

And also, they've added another one with a monster that is really a girl and it's for CB Mac-n-Cheese. I don't really care for m&c anyway.

I think the advert I'm most annoyed about is some advert for a Mercedes-Benz car where most of what happens is that they show various shots of the car and then having it morph into various things (I only really remember seeing it morph into a school of fish myself) while this guy is "stylishly" but in a very bland manor all the same, talks all the time about ideas and challenging them and using punchy phrases like "I'll see your idea and raise it" and then at the end, he says moodily "see for yourself" where the slogan itself is cheesily but still in a stylish font with black background says "C for yourself" as the car is a C Class or whatever it's called. That's on virtually every single commercial break when I'm in the room and it's very irritating.

Plus, there was another advert which I only seen once but found very irritating all the same because of how much the marketing people of this product have been milking the popularity of it and making such a song and dance about it like it's the second coming of Jesus. I know people will get mad at me for saying this but it was the way they promote Halo 3 for the Xbox 360 that annoys me. I mean, it might be a very good game indeed but why do they have to bombard everybody with this stuff all the time? And as for the TV ad itself, well what happened was there was operatic music in the background with action figurines in the shape of soldiers along with some of aliens fighting with each other, some in defeat and some still frozen in the middle of combat. Then after about (what feels like) 1 minute and a quarter, they pan towards an alien with a typical soldier in Halo-trademark uniform with face shield and then, the soldier is in gleaming colour admist the bleakness of the atmosphere and looks up. After some naff slogans about heroism, that's the ad in it's entirety and a good example of how marketing teams can just go too far with their product.

TheTruth.Org ads (anti-smoking) REALLY TICK ME OFF!!!

The Cigarette companies didn't hold a gun to anyone's head and make them start smoking...

Cigarettes are still LEGAL (for adults,) and these ads are hitting even stronger than ads against ILLEGAL drug use...

I don't smoke, but I think they have as much right to slowly kill themselves, as I do when I go to McDonalds...

Well if you think about what the product is supposed to do, that *might* make him (and his wife) smile, if it worked!

The Burger King flat buns commercial annoys me greatly. It's too long.

Oh, this commercial doesn't seem to air anymore (thank heavens), but that one Starburst commercial with the leprechaun guy singing "Berries and cream! Berries and cream! I'm a little boy who loves berries----and cream!!" DAMN that commercial annoyed the hell out of me. I wanted to smack that singing fool to make him shut up every time the commercial came on.

I'm getting pretty tired of all the prescription medicines that are being advertised...

First of all, you would THINK that your doctor would already be aware of the best treatment for your condition. If you see an ad on TV and ask him to switch you over, he shouldn't do it unless he thinks it will be better for you.

Second, the big list of side-effects doesn't need to be read aloud during the commercial... Again, the doctor should discuss those with you BEFORE prescribing the drug.

Third, you know the real reason behind high prescription drug costs?? It's NOT the research, it's the advertising!
