Cowboy Bebop was inelgible because it was originally released in Japan two years back, and Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas was not even submitted by Dreamworks for Academy consideration.

Why would Dreamworks not even submit it? I know it was bad and it flopped at the theaters, however, it would probably pick up sales at the store if it at least was nominated as a contender....cough...cough...Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas was not even submitted by Dreamworks for Academy consideration.
I think Dreamworks have another agenda. Now they're comitted to no more 2D animation, they don't want any extra home video sales of Sinbad muddying the waters.
