I think that's a great idea, Princessmarlo! Especially with Jack-Jack now having powers that people (besides Kari) know about, it'd be great to see him in more action.

I prefer an Incredibles sequel over a Cars sequel.

Yeah I was thinking it would be a great story development and they could probably go on to make a third if they so chose to being that in the third the kids are now adults and the family could be some kinda like justice league disney style

Cars 2!!!

by JV IS TIZ!!! PIXAR
According to a very reliable anonymous source Cars 2 will be released after Toy Story 3! So it looks like the rumors are true! We are still waiting for an official announcement from Pixar though. Maybe this could be Brad Lewis' unannounced project that he been talking about?

So Pixar is going to put out 2 sequels in a row. Pixar always likes a good challenge.

One question I have is that Paul Newman has retried, In the rumor about a Cars 2 in early June of this year Paul Newman said that Pixar was making a Cars 2, so how would he know about a Cars 2 unless someone has told him or he has singed up for it, or maybe he’s already done some voice work, but I doubt it.

I expect Cars 2 to be Pixar’s 2011 release and John Carter of Mars to be Pixar 2012 release.

Umm... why? I think Cars is the weakest of the Pixar films, and why theyre making a Cars sequel before they make an Incredibles sequel is beyond me.

Now all we need is Cars: 3 Not Another Cars Sequel....
Pixar should have made The Incredibles 2....come on I want to see more Jack-Jack.

Yes. Cars is easily Pixar's weakest film as of this year. After watching it seven times, if I'm not mistaken, it felt like it wasn't a Pixar film. It wasn't bad, nor was it degrading Pixar's name. But with its solid box-office success, I found it impossible for Pixar not to create a sequel that would possibly ruin the already resolved plot in the first film. I still have my doubts with this one. Remember when Jurassic Park 4 was announced as early as 2003? (Or was that 2004?) And now we're in mid-2007 but still, no news could be heard about its existence. If there's one Pixar film that desperately needs a sequel, it would be, as what most members in this thread had speculated, The Incredibles. I'd go for a trilogy anytime!

So what's the story this time? Lightning McQueen and Sally are having unicycles? And one of the unicycles gets lost in the road? Now, Lightning and Mater (who developed short-term memory loss after seeing what he calls "GHOSTS" on a nightly basis) must join forces to find Lightning's son, meeting electrifying pinkish helicopters, veggie garbage trucks, surfin' bug dudes, and disturbed airplanes along the way.

I think they should do a Monsters Inc sequel where Boo/Mary is a college art student dealing with her "imaginary" friends from childhood still in her life.

i think that the only pixar movies that could get a sequel are Toy Story and The Incredibles which are clearly trilogy material, and i think a Bug's Life had amazing potential of a second instalment, everybody would want to see the circus bugs come back not so much anymore, since the characters quickly faded away, but nemo, monsters, and cars are very round stories, to which we might want to see more of, but not too many plots can evolve from them, and the stories are fine where they finished

ratatuille i haven't seen yet though, but i'll see it this weekend

Cars isn't that a great,he's great but not desever a sequel,The incredibles who are just a Fantastic Four wannabe dosn't either,Finding nemo deserve a sequel (isn't dory the cutest thing you ever saw?).

The only film I can't see a sequel being made to is Nemo. What more can you do with it? Monsters Inc, Incredibles, Toy Story, Bug's Life, and Cars have worlds ripe with characters to explore. Nemo is a one shot story. He can't get lost again. What more can you do?

I think the only reason for a Cars 2 is an excuse for more merchandise. After all those little die cast cars have made 2 billion to date.

 I find that statement laughable for a couple of reasons; The first being that The Incredibles is such a mixture of so many dynamics that to pin it as a simple F4 wannabe is severely degrading it. The second reason being that it seems that [as far as movie adaptations go] so far it's the Fantastic Four franchise that is the wannabe Fantastic Four.

It's really annoying when people believe that Brad Bird copied Fantastic Four when he clearly stated he did not. The only similarity between Fantastic Four and The Incredibles is that both films have a group of four people with different super powers...that's it. I don't know why people make such a fuss. What makes The Incredibles different is that their four people are a family, and each power corresponds with their character.

Bob - The dad that supports the family. Thus he is given super strength.
Helen - The mom that takes care of her children; she has the power to stretch herself.
Violet - Teens always want to be invisible and want to shut everyone else out from the world (force field).
Dash - The energetic kid who has the power to run super fast.
