When you say advanced screening, do you mean you won free tickets, or you're going to the 8:00pm show, because technically that's the official opening, just like AWE.

I'm going to Long Beach California for Anime Expo (in simple terms, Japanese cartoons) and on the last day (July 2) they're having an advance screening of Transformers. Movie opens on July 3rd. I figured why spend the eight bucks when I can see the movie before all my friends for free.

We are getting fewer and fewer trailers these days.
At the head of Fantastic Four: ROTS, I recall seeing The Simpsons teaser trailer (the very first one at that!) and Evan Almighty. Ripped off, eh?

Last time I went to the movies was when I saw POTC: At World's End. The trailers were for (in no particular order):
Evan Almighty
Live Free or Die Hard
Ratatouille
Fantastic Four: ROTSS
The Game Plan
Transformers
Ghost Rider (DVD)
There were others, but that's all I can think of for now.

Trailers in front of
Live Free or Die Hard:
The Brave One (this looks like an interesting story, I love Jodie Foster)
Lions For Lambs (Tom Cruise, Robert Redford and Meryl Streep?!? Can we say dreamcast?)
Hitman (very vague trailer, don't know what to make of it.... it looks like it's about a hitman, exciting huh?

)
The Heartbreak Kid (again

, looks like it's trying to hard to be another There's Something About Mary)
The Simpsons Movie (even though I'm looking forward to seeing this at some point, so far all the trailers for it have failed to excite me)

Went to see
Transformers and got these trailers in front of the movie:
The Game Plan - Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, it's from Disney, and looks pretty funny.
The Simpson's Movie - you couldn't drag me to see this one, even for free.
Hot Rod - some lame movie about a stunt-man wannabe. Probably pass on this one also.
They Call Me Legend - new Will Smith film that looks pretty good.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix last night plus these trailers:
The Simpsons movie
Transformers (hasn't yet started here in Germany)
National Treasure II
aaaand "His Dark Materials" The Golden Compass (will certainly see that one, loved the books)
Not many trailers. But they have reduced the number of trailers in the last few years.
