From what I heard a cavity isn't a huge deal... my dentist detected one that might have been growing but she just added a sealant and I haven't had any problems since. I have to say I have the best teeth in my family, I am *almost* 25 and have yet to have a full cavity. Yay!!!!!! :D (And I eat TONS of junk and candy, I must just be blessed)!

Is it wrong that I laughed while reading this?

My friend had his wisdom teeth pulled and he told me they actually don't pull the whole tooth out. They break it into little fragments then pull the fragments out. ooch!!!

What do you call a doctor who failed out of medical school? A dentist. Ha, ha, ha!
you'll get those teeth pulled out eventually and it's better to get them out sooner than later. it's actually much better to get them out before they start hurting your mouth like me.

and fyi they don't break them unless they really have to. your friend was probably trying to scare you or was joking. but they do leave about 1% of the tooth in for some reason since when i had mine the roots were gone from the teeth.

and that joke is not funny :x .

on-topic: i have had three cavities. i got them filled while the dentist was getting me ready to get my braces so it was better to get them filled while i was already numb instead of waiting. i only got those dang cavities because we couldn't find a dentist and went FIVE :o years without going and i was drinking a pint sized soda everyday that year. thankfully i haven't done that habit in a long time and no more cavities. and if any of you are scared of the dentist then i rermend mine since he doesn't make it hurt at all. and the janitor and my old school told me about this horrible trip to the dentist. the dentist had big hands and she had a small mouth and the only way he said to get into her mouth was to REMOVE HER JAW :jawdrop: thankfully that didn't happen. :)

I've had 2 cavities in my life, both when I was under the age of 10. As a teenager I had an intense fear of going to the dentist (it was that drill sound that always freaked me out). Eventually, as an adult the fear has kinda subsided. I still don't like going though (but I do).

Ugh! The "jawdrop" emoticon was perfect, though.

So since I'm so depressed as my life feels like a failure, I decided to post and ask if anyone of you had cavities.
 How old are you, 8?
