UncleEd, pay no attention to Jonny. Jonny has repeatedly asked the same question here at UD and over at s8.org. I don't think he understands what Greg Weisman has repeated told him over at s8.org. There is no information to be had about the rest of season 2. Disney has not said anything about the dvd sets other than Gargoyles: Season 2 Volume 1 did not sell well enough for the second volume to be released. If there was any new information about the rest of season 2, Luke would post it on the front page here at UD.
As for the comics, two issues were released last year. The long delay between issue one and issue two was caused by the artist working on the comic. Issue 3 was released in March of this year, this delay was caused by Disney. Slave Labor Graphics had to wait for Disney to approve the comic. Issue 4 has a scheduled release date of 5/16/07. Hopefully, it will be released on time.
While it is true Amazon only has the first two issues up, Amazon has not been a reliable source to get the comics from. Amazon has had repeated delays of there own concerning the comics. I don't live in an area with a comic book store, but I've been getting my copies directly from Slave Labor Graphics. So far, I haven't had any problems dealing with them.
As for sells, I don't think the comics are selling well enough to get the rest of season 2 on dvd. However, the comics are selling well enough to warrant a spin off comic. It's called "Gargoyles:Bad Guys", and it will be a limited series expected to come out later this year.
