I never usually mind about technical problems because every time there is one we get a free pass to go see another movie. Even if it's only the first minute of the movie that was messed up. I guess they don't do that everywhere?
Also, ususally if there are kids in the theater being really horrible I'll get my ticket changed for another show. If you do it within the first 10 minutes or so of the movie they usually don't give you problems. Although, that's only good if people are acting up BEFORE the movie starts.

I have a weird one I just remembered. When I saw The Kid back in 2000, I got a gobstopper stuck in my throat and had to get it back up in the lobby bathroom, missing a lot of the movie. I know, its kind of gross.

I am so glad that I live where I do. They don't allow unaccompanied childred into the theater anytime of the day and no children allowed after 7 pm any day of the week, even if accompanied by an adult. This cuts down on the noise problem, plus the management of the theater can get after the adult for not controlling their kid when a problem erupts.
Our theaters and we have a bunch are mostly owned by Bill Warren, and his theaters are luxurious with plush 'temperpedic' seats in most, and large screens in all of them with beautiful waterfall curtains in every theater and THX certified stereo sound in all of them.
We even have theaters where you can have dinner and watch a first run movie at the same time.
Our prices are less than most cities.........$6 before 6 pm seven days a week, and $8 in the evening. Students and Seniors are discounted to $6 all the time.
Here is their website if you want to look around:

:O I know April fools is over, but that sounds almost too good to be true! I'd kill to have a theater like that near where I live... guess I'll have to move to Kansas! No offence to anyone with children, I like kids mostly. I just don't like paying lots of money to go see a movie in the theater and have it ruined by screaming children. Near where I live there are a couple theaters who run special shows during the week for people with infants, but they are not restricted from taking them into regular showings whenever they want to.
