I had a real obsession with Beauty and the Beast (still do actually  ). Unfortunately, I never saw it when it first came to theatres. I was 12 at the time and I thought I was too "cool" for animation (I know - I was dumb). I first saw it when my sister borrowed the VHS from one of her friends. After that I was hooked. I begged my parents for my own copy, and when I finally got it, I watched in countless times. So much that my tape was literally wearing thin and the picture was losing color!

I saw the Broadway show 4 times when it came here to Toronto in the late 90's, finally got to see it on the big screen when it was re-released on IMAX in 2002, and almost wet my pants with excitement when I heard that it would be Disney's 2nd Platinum Edition DVD release, also in 2002.

As an adult, I still make sure I watch it at least 4 times every year.

For me, the one that excited me most was Toy Story. My jaw dropped the first time I saw the trailer and I pretty much counted down the days till it was released.

Right now I'm really looking forward to Meet the Robinsons and Ratatouille.

For me, it's always been Lady and the Tramp and Fox and the Hound, in terms of all time favorites that still get me excited when new things come out.

Out of current stuff, I think I'm most excited for Ratatouille, and for whenever The Frog Princess happens.

Hey, katemonster!! Welcome to UD!! I like your nickname. Did you get it from Avenue Q?

I'm always excited for any Princess stuff, especially with Belle, but can't remember being really excited for a movie. I was still too young when the Fab Four were released to be really excited. I know it was always great when my mom would take me to the latest Disney movie in winter, but I never really was over-excited for the movie, just the event that it was to me.
