So the blending voices rumor isn't true? I thought it was. Zac sings the opening to "Something New"...I think. It sounds like him. Jasmine, Aladdin, and Pocahontas, just to name a few, had different people doing the singing and speaking roles, so why can't Disney do it in a live-action film? The speaking and singing, above all else, is Troy's, so it doesn't change the story or watchability of the film.

Well, as the only 19 year old male in existance who likes High School Musical for reasons other than ogling Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Anne Hudgens (although that's a big part of it hehe    ) and who's also listened to the soundtrack more than any 19 year old male should I do have some input for this thread.

I'm pretty sure that Zac Efron sings the very beginning of Start of Something New: "Livin' in my own world, Didn't understand, That anything can happen, When you take a chance" and then Drew sings the rest of the song.

Zac also sings the very beginning of Breaking Free: "We're soaring, flying, There's not a star in heaven that we can't reach" and then Drew sings the rest of the song.

So with that said I do enjoy the movie and I do enjoy the music... so I say bring on the sequel!

You're not alone! I myself am a 19 year old male with a big crush on Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens.

And well... the songs are just catchy!

 Ah but have you mastered the dances yet like I have? :D I've always wondered where I've seen Vanessa before, turns out she's in Thunderbirds, thought I knew her from somewhere. I've always enjoyed Ryan and Sharpay's songs more, not sure why though, guess it's because I got sick of Zac after my cousin was finished plastering his face all over his walls and watching his scenes in the movie over and over
