I think if everyone checks the birthdate forum that is somewhere here, you will find that there are a lot less "kids" than you would think. I don't know if anyone tried to do an average age for the posters here, but it would be young, but not that young. There are a couple of us who have been around the block a couple of times.
I say no to any type of dating service here on UD. We are all crazy enough as it is without adding that into the mix.

To me, that statement sounds like it is perpetuating the idea that only kids or pedophiles love Disney. Are there even that many kids that post here? I have always gotten the impression that most of the posters here are in college at least. After all, I was under the impression that this was more of a Disney DVD site than a pure Disney site, and because of that I wouldn't expect a lot of kids to be on here. Do kids actually buy DVDs?
Don't people usually buy DVDs FOR them?
ha, sorry-that just made me laugh. children are not people!

Or it could be a new service. 'Speed Crazy Dating'.
Like regular dating, but faster.

Well, despite a guest having just posted it, and showing no interest of actually signing up, plus the simple fact that we regulars can see why it can't work, I don't think the idea is that bad. I mean, it's interesting at least. I want my future wife(if I ever get married) to have an interest in Disney! And people get married or have Honneymoons at WDW, so it's an interest idea to at least discuss.
But of course, we can't have it, as this site was simply made for one reason: for Disney fans to talk about Disney with other Disney fans in the world, as well as play Disney related games, trade items(mainly DVDs), and occasionally talk about stuff not related to Disney. A dating service is really "out there" and not much needed or wanted. If you really want a date who's interested in Disney, go to eHarmony or whatever is out there that can match you up with someone.
But, ending this post on a lighter note: who'd think danfrandes and Teede would make a great couple?

Can we combine the other thread about people looking like their avatars and use that as a profile?
Single purple-black female half-octopus/half-human seeks power hungry magical being for dating, possible relationship. Must love eels.

A guest didn't post this. JurassicWarrior was most likely banned after the creation of this thread.

That's right! Not in the eyes of the law, anyway, ha. Of course, I meant people OTHER than themselves.

Yeah, but it's one of those jokes that just keeps the idea in people's minds, in my opinion.

Yeah, I'm sure the world will end in 3 days because I made a joke. Obviously no one where believes only kids and pedophiles love Disney since its already been said that most the people here are college kids and above.

But nobody said that until after your statement, and I was the one who said it.
Anyway, you seem to be taking my response to your joke the wrong way. Please, let's not be overly sensitive like some forum members can be. You made a joke, I found it in bad taste. That's all there is to it. I never said the world was going to end. C'mon, let's get above this. All I said was, a joke like that perpetuates a stereotype, and it does. Then, I simply explained why I didn't feel such a thing would cause the problem you were joking about. I wasn't trying to pick a fight, just stating something that is true. If you were saying it sarcastically, there's no way people can tell on the internet. But let's not forget that a while back, one forum member here said he had to buy Disney DVDs in secret, because his parents believed only pedophiles bought Disney DVDs. I found that utterly horrible, that parents would label one of their kids that way just for enjoying animation.

You know what this site really needs? A drinking fountain. I don't know about you guys/girls but being here makes me real thirsty.
If you want an online dating service go to match.com.

You're killing me Smalls!!!

A vending machine would be better. Or maybe a juice bar...

How about a comfy couch - I spend a lot of time here. And not one of the cheapo couches either, I want a good one.
And Zoltack - maybe for the drinks Luke can provide those foam hats with the cans on the side.

*ALERT! SANDLOT REFERENCE! ALERT! DANGER WILL ROBINSON!*
And what this place really need is a lot of peanut butter. Millions of pounds of the stuff. We need something to counteract Loomy's cheese.
And all pants must be worn backwards, a la 1987.
Cheers,
