Here we go again, judging something without seeing it. If you don't like this type of movie that is just fine. If you don't like Nicolas Cage that is also fine. But remember, you can't call something 'stupid', or a 'waste of time' if you haven't paid a few bucks to see it.
The role Nicolas Cage is asked to play in this movie is pretty close to the role he had in the movie "Vampire's Kiss", and if you are going to take a comic book movie serious, then you shouldn't have gone in the first place.
Is this as good as "X-Men" or "Spiderman", heck no!! But is a lot of fun, and I plan on adding it to my collection when it comes out, just for the entertainment value.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has revealed early details on Ghost Rider which stars Nicolas Cage, and Eva Mendes. The film will be available to own from the 12th June as a single-disc ($28.95), or a two-disc extended edition ($34.95) with around 17 minutes of additional footage. The discs have yet to be officially announced so details are still sketchy - although we understand that 3 audio commentaries, and a 60 minute "Spirit of Vengeance: The Making of Ghost Rider" documentary will be included on the two-disc version. A Blu-ray edition will also be available for $38.96 - this will include the extended cut

4 months after being in theaters and its going to DVD/Blu-Ray... Is it just me or are movies going from theaters one day to press releases of the DVD the next??? I think the longest movie we are having to wait for that was theatrically recently released movie is The Santa Clause 3... I remember when it took 2 years just for a movie to come to video...
Now I return you to your regularly scheduled News update about Ghost Rider being on DVD June 12th..

Have not seen this yet, but I'm glad they are releasing the 2 disc now and not waiting for a double dip down the line. I personally like the quick turn around for movies getting released on DVD. Not sure why this is happening lately, but it seems if you miss it in the theater you only need to wait 4 or 5 months at the most for the DVD.
I think the only reason Santa Clause 3 is taking so long to come out on DVD is because they are waiting to release it near the holiday season.

The studios do this because box ofice sales have gone down over the years. So they make the movies more readily accessable to the public by releasing them onto DVD a lot sooner.
But I can remember when it took Disney movies half a year to reach VHS. They would release theatrically in the summer and reach shelves the following Spring. I like the new way better.
