This is my list more or less in the order I prefer them:

1.) Swiss Family Robinson
2.) 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
3.) Pete's Dragon
4.) Pollyanna
5.) The Parent Trap
6.) Freaky Friday
7.) Toby Tyler
8.) Mary Poppins
9.) The Happiest Millionaire
10.) The Absent Minded Professor
11.) Summer Magic
12.) Babes in Toyland
13.) Third Man on the Mountain
14.) The Shaggy Dog
15.) The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin

I'll stop there because the list could go on forever. I'm almost to the end of my quest to watch every Disney film made when Walt was alive. I'm currently on "Mary Poppins," which was made in 1964, so I only have 2 more years worth of films to go. It's been really neat to relive these films in the context of what was going on at the studio and what public interest was like during that time period. I agree with slave2moonlight when he said
I'm sure there are a lot of folks like me, who feel "classic" Disney live-action has a certain quality to it that makes pretty much all of them likable favorites.
I couldn't have said it better myself.

My favorite live action are:
Bedknobs and Broomsticks (even though it is half and half)
The Parent Trap (but i still don't have the Vault Disney dvd)
The Gnome-Mobile (which I haven't seen for a VERY long time)

We just watched The Three Lives of Thomasina the other day, and it was wonderful! It has the kids from Mary Poppins in it (actors, not characters.)

I just remembered (and how could I ever forget this one??) one of my favorites: Condorman (1981) starring Michael Crawford and Oliver Reed.

Swiss Family Robinson - own the Vault Disney DVD

Escape to Witch Mountain - own the DVD that doesn't include the sequel

ORIGINAL Parent Trap (and I am SO mad @ Disney for replacing the Vault Disney DVD with a dumb double edition w/ that lame made for tv sequel)

Oh yeah, I also love BABES IN TOYLAND. Made my parents watch the DVD on Christmas eve. ;)

I am almost thinking of double-dipping on that one, so I can have the sequel... I wish the Parent Trap III would come out, with the real-life triplets...

Hey, at least it still has almost everything from the Vault Disney DVD. Even if you can't stand the sequel -- which I find plenty amusing on its own right, in a way much different from the original -- that's a pretty good set you're getting for like $10. Though it is too bad they lost the commentary.

I'd like to see Parent Trap III and IV come out together, having never seen them.
