Hehe, yeah, you got me there.
Still, as others already suggested, PF2006 could have bought them, sold them on e-bay, and have probably around $90 more for the Wii.
Just Myself wrote:Dude, I would have gone home, grabbed my cash and came on back and bought those DVD's.
I probably would have first told the store clerk to hold on to them (in case someone else spots it in my absence and buys them!), then go home, get the cash, come back, and buy the DVDs.
We used to go to Walgreens all the time in Florida (what with it being walking distance from Vista Lay - er, Vista Way), but they never had good DVDs.

I don't think I know where Vista Way is... I know the one on I-Drive near the Mariott World Hotel has a bunch of older, harder to find DVD's as well as ones that
technically shouldn't be out yet. (How else did I get Bambi so early?

)

Um, yes, I do shop at these stores. You might be able to find a Wii at those stores, in the area you live in, but, not around here. Not around most places. People are still camping out, and standing in lines, trying to get a Wii, all over America. I guess you need to provide your address, and I'll send them over your way. The online thing doesn't fly with me. Most places that stock any HOT item, online, will charge MUCH more than you would pay, normally.

Well, obviously you live where people will see how long they can hold their water. Because no where I've been to, and I've been out of state twice since they've come out, has there been a short supply of Wii's. PS3's in some places, yes, but Sony's retarded anyways.

How much were the DVDs? Our Walgreens sells expensive new DVDs or cheapo ones that no one wants. Are the 2 Fantasias still there? I would pay you to get me them...!!!!!!! Maybe, please...???
I doubt this will happen, though...
While on the subject of the "Fantasia" films, are some of you who missed out the first time going to just wait until the PEs are released? I bought these 2 DVDs when I first started using eBay (unfortunately, I didn't know about Half.com and I guess didn't realize that Amazon sold DVDs), and I got definitely a bootleg of "Fantasia 2000", and "Fantasia" may have been a bootleg (bonus features didn't work and halfway through the movie it stopped playing). I want these DVDs so bad (I do have the VHSs, though).

No, I don't live where people participate in stupid games. I'm saying that, on the whole, people are still having trouble finding Nintendo Wii and DS Lite. Not just where I live, but, across America. You must not visit videogaming sites on the net. All of the message boards, people are still looking for Wii and DS Lite. If you are able to find so many, you should be buying them, and putting them up on e-Bay. People are still making good profit on these.
It's funny you mention that there is a short supply of PS3's, in some places, because around here, they sit on shelves, at every store. Nobody is buying them. It seems to be the case in several places, as many people on videogaming sites are reporting the same thing.
Anyway, I'm not trying to argue with you, but, just because you are able to find something where you live, doesn't mean that many more people are having the same luck.

I've found OOP Disney DVDs at Walgreens before. They were ones that I either didn't want or already owned.

Are you people finding the OOP Disney DVDs locked up in a case behind the register or on a shelf? And what kinds of prices are they?

well, "dude", the Wii is definately
not sold out everywhere. I went to a Gamestop a week or two ago, and they had one or two PS3's. The guy behind the counter was showing the box to this one guy thinking about buying it, not for games, but he thought that it was also a region converter when playing DVD's. You know....if you live in region 1, a converter will allow you to play Region 2 DVDs.

(Obviously, the PS3 dosen't do that so the guy PASSED on it.

Wii is sold out "nearly" everywhere. Trust me when I say, people are still lining up, camping out, and trying to find a Wii. However, I don't understand how your story about GameStop having two or three PS3's has anything to do with Wii being sold out, or not?

UPDATE
I bought Sleeping Beauty new at Walgreens! It even had a slipcover and it was only about $23 plus tax.
Next week I will start saving for the Wii. No more spending my money for me for a while

Mine is not located in a big city. It is located near a grocery store and a few fast food restaurants.

Well, 'dude', I know three places in your general area where they have both Wii's
and PS3's:
1. The Wal Mart on East Colonial in Orlando.
2. The Target on Red Bug Lake Rd. in Oviedo.
3. The Planet X or Electronics Boutique in the Oviedo Marketplace mall, right behind the already mentioned Target.
None of those places have been sold out for either system for more than 2 days since Christmas shopping season ended.
Cheers,
JM

Aw, man, where do you live? I have a Walgreens nearby, and I skim their DVDs, because usually they are just crap, but I may need to check this out!
It seems to me that this is somewhat common for Wallgreens. I found copies of Cinderella II, The Jungle Book 2, and The Lion King at one near me. I owned all of them already so it didn't have that much importance to me, but i bet if i go back they'd still be there even though i saw them originally a month ago or so.
Okay, now where do
YOU live?!

I need Cinderella II (I own Cinderella and Cinderella III - I'm a loser/completist

). Plus, I saw it, and it wasn't as bad as it was all cracked up to be. I 'borrowed' it from a friend (as in, took the disc w/o him knowing...none of my friends know I'm a Disney freak, but don't worry, I'll return it as soon as I buy my own copy). I think I may need to go to Walgreens this coming weekend!
