I wonder if Disney could do an adpatation of the world-famous classic 'Sans famile' by Hector Malot.
But I'm afraid this tale is to extensive for Disney to make int into a good animated feature. It's such a great story though and has a troop of animals and lots of emotions!

Don Quoite would make a good movie, especially with it's animated, kinda like the 90's animated series with a cyotee and panda bear.

Sounds cool, how long does the movie have to be?

That's up to you. But this is not the place to talk about that; you have to do that over there.

I've always thought this real life chronicle would work well for a Disney animated film-

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bummer_and_Lazarus

A classic setting in late 19th century San Fransisco, funny over the top characters, a real friendship bond, and a story that has real life basis.

Sounds like you hit it right on the nose.

Bummer and Lazarus sound like Disney names.

My idea for Disney future film! The House of Mouse the movie! Mickey Mouse is kidnapped by the evil phantom blot and taking Mickey Mouse to his hideout and tied Mickey Mouse bound and gagged to the pile of dynomite in the Phantom blot's hideout! Mickey's friends is trying to find Mickey Mouse! I hope Mickey's friends can rescue of Mickey Mouse in the nick of time!
That's is my idea!:edna:

I'd love it if Disney made other animated films based on fairy tales that they haven't covered. There are many others besides Snow White, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty, exc... Of course, some of them are very violent, but Disney could tone that down in a pinch... :P

And some more animated films based on classic novels would be nice. Of course, I know that with the new computer-animation going on right now, it's not likely to happen. :(

I think Disney should make an animated movie, "The Guard Dog" based on a 1990 book by Dick King-Smith.

I wouldn't mind seeing a book like The Box of Delights, by John Masefield, turn into a movie. To be honest, I havn't read it myself yet, but I have seen to live action TV-series wich were made in the 80's (it is a sequel to the book The Midnight Folk, that among other things includes one or more sequences about flying on a broomstick, which I personally have had my share of).

The box gives the main character the ability to fly and shrink in size. I remember a part where he meets a mouse. If we got a closer look on the mouse and maybe also where she ilves in an animated movie, I think Jill Barklem'a Brambly Hedge could work well as an artistic inspiration.

The Very Hungry Catipillar, by Eric Carl, would make a good Disney movie.

I thought that was a Dr. Seuss book.

It's not a Dr. Seuss book.

Disney should make an animated classic of "Aida".

I think they could do an animated version of the musical Wicked very well.

Disney have a good working relationship with Schwartz and it's a popular musical. They couldn't do the whole show, but Schwartz could shorten some of the songs or adapt others to cover more of the story. They could even pair Schwartz with Menken again to do the score (the musical is fantastic but there's no real score as it just moves pretty much from song to song).

I'd love them to do more adaptations from The Arabian Nights as well. They don't have to be straight adaptations (Aladdin certainly wasn't and was a fantastic film) but there are plenty of good stories there to work from.

Edit: Marky an animated Aida would be great to see! Though like Wicked I think they'd have to remove/shorten/re-work the songs to fit the right time frame of an animated classic. Would love to see it done right as the show never came to the UK.

Speaking of musicals though I'd love a live action version of the full Beauty and the Beast Broadway show. CG is good enough now to do the enchanted objects.

Edit 2: Has anyone got any information on the 50th classic? It should be the next one after Rapunzel which would be a release in 2011. I'm hoping for a traditional fairy tale type story (or something in that vein like Aladdin) with music by Alan Menken and the song writer of his choice.

I still can't believe they replaced Menken and Slater with Newman on Frog Princess saying they didn't want the music too similar to Enchanted! Newman's good but Menken is so much better! As for too similar Menken's style always changes to the story, there may be similarities but it is never the same or repetitive and as the saying goes "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
