Are you into the park music too? I'm not talking about the well known songs like It's a Small World, I am talking about the ambient background music loops played in the parks, attractions and some of the resorts.

YES TOTALLY!!!! I love the park music, I have an entire collection of Park music from AK, MGM, MK and Epcot, and DL. I have then entire cafe loop at AK that plays.
One of my favs is my Pirates Store Music. It is great to hear the music that plays when you leave the ride.
Another thing I lke is entire attraction ride thrus. Not ones transferred from someone's Video but actual recorded ones from Dis.
I think some of the best things I have are the Tom Sawyers Island Music, The Big Thunder Mountain Safety Spiel and the HM Fast Pass Queue.

All officially counted Goofy cartoons yes, but there are a few more that are counted as educational shorts and stars Goofy - so if we should be picky there is not all on the Complete Goofy set!

Wave 4 - Officially

I know without question that Wave 4 will now contain:
(1) MMC
(2) Complete Pluto
(3) MM B/W; and
(4) True Life Adventures
The compliation originally planned has now been shelved. The only question mark on MMC is whether the original advertisements will be included or not.
I'll keep you posted as more details are finalized, however, these are going into production in about a month.

So dear Trojan Mouse....
If you are on the inide, please tell us if the Wave 3 is delayed or not?

Compilation Better be Wave 5 then, and what is the delay with silly symphonies. They released em in set 1 and then just kinda dropped it.

Thanks for the info Trojan Mouse. I'm glad they will be release Mickey Mouse Club, even considering the judicial problems with the Mouseketeers.
But do you know when are they going to release it? December 2004 or May 2005? Disney really messed up with the WD Treasures schedule this time.

The whole delay thing is pretty much no longer in question anymore. Disneystore.com lists Spring 2004 and a bunch of other places have updated on Monday, as I suspected.

Yeah, it's a shame, but my question was regarding the fourth wave of the Disney Treasures. If Disney releases the third wave in May, does this mean the next wave will also be released in May (2005)? Or they will keep releasing them in December, and the third way is a exception? Confusing, isn't it?

Yeah, well I was responding to Chernabog's post - should have quoted it.

I personally would love to see a historic retrospective on WDW similar to the Wave 1 Disneyland set. Being an East Coast native WDW is "my turf" so would have much more of an appeal to me. Plus, I was born before WDW celebrated its first birthday, so I have more or less grown up with the park.
I am also a big fan of the Region 2
Disney Fables DVDs -- anyone else out there seen them? They have great material -- a few of the Silly Symphones released on the Wave1 Treasure combined with shorts like "Ben and Me" (one of my favs!), "Little Hiawatha", "Donald in Mathmagical Land," etc. Sure you don't get the cool tin, but together I consider the four DVDs to be an "honorary treasure."

Received an e-mail from Mr. Maltin himself which states:
"For a variety of reasons, many of which have to do with backed-up deadlines and busy duplicating facilities, the four new releases will now come out on May 2"
I am as disappointed as anyone else, but I do not believe that this delay is affecting the release date of Wave 4. Moreover, Disney Home Vodeo has apparently been overwhelmed by the amount of interest that they have received for the next Wave. This all bodes very well for future projects.

One of the good things coming out of this delay is disney's realization of the treasures series popularity, but surely they should have realized that a long time ago - which is a regular point raised on this forum when treasures are mentioned.

No compilation set? Aw, and that was the one I was REALLY looking forward to... Pluto and Mickey Mouse B&W will be good, but I'm not sure what to expect from the other two. They won't be as good as the compilation set, I'm sure. No more "Donald in Mathmagic Land"...

It's a good possibilty that Disney will release Mr. Boogedy & Child of Glass next year but still not definite.

But practically the only thing that Walt ever did about Disney World was going to be released this year on the Tomorrowland DVD with EPCOT. With that released, there is hardly anything Walt-hosted to justify a two disc release like they did with Disneyland.
On the flip side, there is still many more programs of Walt in Disneyland, I hope they get around releasing those for the parks 50th Anniversary. Not as a Treasures ness., but just on DVD. Maybe a park exclusive or something.
