Mulan. But if we're talking female characters in general, Nala, hands down.

Alice has the lolita look than Ariel ever would.

Funny that you say that, considering Ariel's animators compared her to Alice in particular.

Quote from How to Draw The Little Mermaid:
In order to get an idea of what Ariel should look like, Disney artists scoured hundreds of magazines looking for a face that was fresh, young, and appealing. There were discussions about whether Ariel should be glamorous and exotic or cute and athletic. Part of the research included a review of past Disney heroines. Ariel is most similar to Alice (from Alice In Wonderland) in appearance. Both have a large forehead, long, loose hair, wide-set eyes, and a small mouth and chin.
As for me, my favorite heroines have always been Megara and Ariel. Alice and Mulan get honorable mentions, too.

That's the point. Lolita comes from fact of obsession over young girls in frilly dress/victorian dress. Alice fits the catoglory. Ariel doesn't.

Lolita, the actual heroine of the novel, was in her early teens not a young girl like Alice(or Wendy, or Penny or Jenny, or Melody). I thought "lolitas" are what Britney Spears in the beginning of her career was. Innocent-looking but very sexy, something between a girl and a woman, not sthing between a girl and a baby. Ariel can be sexy. Alice cannot be said to be sexy except the person who says so is a pederast. As for the frilly dresses, Ariel has many of them.

Alice v.s. Ariel v.s. Lolita

My friend wears lots of make-up and dresses like an adult at 16, but she also did so when she was around 13. Many boys considered her very striking and pretty, and treated her like she was much older than her age. She was not necessarily innocent, but she was getting involved with boys far older than her. Because of this, they dubbed her Lolita.

I always understood the character to be a young innocent girl surrounded by older, experienced men. Alice was never involved romantically with a man, but she was certainly lost in an unknown realm of people and creatures going after her. She fits the Lolita description much more than Ariel because her style of dress is more Victorian, and she's younger and more innocent than Ariel. Wikipedia on Lolita.

The term lolita has come to be used to refer to an adolescent girl considered to be very seductive, especially one younger than the age of consent.
I think Ariel qualifies for that more than Alice. For one, Alice isn't very seductive (when compared to a barely clothed Ariel). Also, they're both below the age of consent (18). At least, in America.

That's the answer I thought of when I saw the question.

It is nice having your own princess you can always go home with at the end of the movie.

Okay okay.I think I have to change my statement; Ariel is not a lolita, but she's sexy. Alice is NOT. That's all I have to say! :P

By the way, Ariel may not be a lolita compared to Alice, but compared to Megara, or Esmeralda or Pocahontas or Kida she surely is!

Thank you for clarifying it better.

Ariel is sexy??? Nah, I'm not sure I agree on that one. Vanessa (Ursula in disguise) was far sexier.

I'm looking at this from a girls point of view, as I am one!

I think "sexy" just depends on the personalities of the characters. Although Ariel is one slip from showing everything she has, I've never considered her very seductive because she never tries to be. Vanessa, on the other hand, is Ursula with Ariel's looks. Ursula makes it clear that she consider body language important in getting a man and it shows.

That's , in my humble opinion, like saying that Gaston is more sexy than the Prince from Beauty and the Beast, just because Gaston is a "macho" man and shows it. I think that's easier for you to see as you're a girl. But here's Ariel's sexiness: she doesn't care about being sexy, she almost acts like a child. This doesn't stop her, of course, from showing almost everything she has! :D And she's got a lot of goodies!
And, finally, that's why I called her a lolita; she's so innocent and that's her main appeal. I still cannot understand what victorian dresses and 12year-old girls have to do with this point of view of mine.I didn't want to define the term, I just wanted to say my opinion about what Ariel as a woman means to me.
