I would be surprised if the movie isn't already up on the bit torrent sites.

Lets not forget this law only applies here in the USA. People in parts of Europe (for the time being) still have a right to download stuff, although I am not sure if that right extends to movies that haven't even been released to DVD yet.

They can put anything they want on it, but the only thing I HAVE to see in order to buy it is:

All trailers and a sampling of TV Spots. I'm a sucker for the trailers!

Probably the stuff they put on the original.

Deleted scenes, behind the scences, shots from the primiere, stuff along those lines.

The only thing I like is to be able to navigate it better. I'm getting to the age where I don't want to have to play games to watch special features. Just list em, I don't want to have to navigate around a ship.

So I'm wondering what kind of stops they pull out when they re-release all these movies in a box set.

We all know that is coming.

ALL the trailers!

Also, I'd like the stuff that was on that "lost disc" release of the first movie which was just an excuse to get people to buy another copy of the first movie, to be included. Maybe some sort of bonus - you send $3.95 shipping and a form included with POTC: DMC release and 6 weeks later you get a copy of the Lost Disc from the first movie.

What I NEED:
-Trailers
-Deleted Scenes
-Making of the Movie featurette that's LONGER than 6 minutes.
-Gallery (selected still pictures from movie)
-Character Biographies (this would be fun to see)
-Bloopers
-When you click play, the ship is taken under the water (think of what happens during the movie......for those who have seen it)

I want trailers because the FIRST movie's dvd did not contain them. And no lost disc editions! Include the stuff with the dvd so you don't sucker people into buying it twice (hey, it could happen).

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest DVD

This comes from DavisDVD.com, in their Rumor Mill section. It talks about some possible features on the DVD release.

To read the part about Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, you will have to click the link, and scroll down a little.

Director Gore Verbinski is so busy shooting two sequels back to back, he hasn't had much time to plan the DVDs. But as Verbinski finished the first sequel, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, producer Jerry Bruckheimer has said more footage of a dice game with ghosts may end up on the DVD. Visual effects already have been completed on the additional footage of the contest between Will (Orlando Bloom) and the ghosts of cursed pirates.

"There aren't really whole scenes that were omitted, but there are a lot of pieces of scenes and more information about characters," Verbinski said during promotion on the upcoming film. "[There is] some wonderful stuff on Cannibal Island with Johnny [Depp], some very funny things that you just couldn't put in," Bruckheimer added.

Writer Ted Elliot said filmmakers shot a scene featuring Jack Davenport as Commodore Norrington at the end of the movie, but since it contained information more relevant to the third film, it was omitted from the second. "When we were actually looking at the movie, we didn't need that information in this movie."

Bruckheimer also suspects the DVD for Dead Man's Chest could include a trailer for the third "Pirates" film, though Verbinski is unsure he will have enough material completed in time. "I don't know if we're going to have enough shots or the visual effects completed," he said. "These DVDs come out so fast now."

One thing that is certain is there will be plenty of behind-the-scenes material for documentaries and featurettes. "We had a guy there most of the time [during the script phase, pre-production and production]" Bruckheimer said. "I think we gave the assistant cameramen some video cameras or digital cameras, so there's lots of material."
