The Jack Sparrow show is kickass, though, and they've got some real convincing castmembers who play Jack.

Escapay

I'm sorry, but I REALLY dislike (borderline hate, no wait, I do hate) the new pirates ride. I tried to go in and give it the benefit of the doubt when I went to DL last week, but they changed a ride that was already perfect!

How do you base a movie on a ride, and then change the ride to fit the movie?!?!If this happens with the Jungle Cruise someday or the Autopia to Cars theme...that's way too much to think about. I been missing the Submarine and The Country Bears Jamboree.

They changed way too much and I probably won't ride it again unless my boyfriend wants to go on it or if I finally get over it!

Sorry for the rant, I'm just saddened by the change...I don't like change. :(

I don't much care for change either, but I do like what they've done with Pirates. I don't know how the Disneyland version differs from the Disney World version, which is the one I've ridden. In my opinion, they stayed very true to the ride, and simply enhanced it with the addition of Jack, Barbosa, and Davy Jones. It still feels like the same ride to me.

My feelings towards it may be because I'm comparing it to what they did to "The Enchanted Tiki Room" in Florida. It is aweful now! They took a great show and added Iago and Zazu into it. I love both characters in their respective movies, but it's annoying having Gilbert Godfried interupt a show I grew up on to make the birds and tiki gods sing modern pop tunes.

Also, they converted "Alien Encounter" to "Stitch's Great Escape." I like the new version and agree that the original was way to scary for kids, but I do miss the way it used to be.

Lighten up! Get a sense of humor and don't take things so seriously all the time!

Well, keep in mind that Walt wanted his parks to be ever-changing, not never-changing.

It's probably a bit late now, but do you reckon that they would ever include Will and Elizabeth on the ride ? I know now its probably more likely that they would include characters from the new movie, if at all., but I think it would be kind of neat to have them there. Not in a blatent letschangetheplotoftheride way, but just placed within scenes.

Anyone agree ? Or would that be even more annoying than Jack and co being there ? (I personaly like the addition:) )
