I've just gotten around to watching the final part of the Shadows of the Bat: The Cinematic Saga of the Dark Knight on the Batman and Robin disc.

For those who don't know, all 6 parts span the four 2-disc releases of the original Batman Anthology.

Well, what can I say. It's only 25 minutes of so, but 25 minutes of horror. Watch as people say outrageous things either to justify their bad decisions, or show that they have little understanding of the key concept of Batman.

Although, I must acknowledge, Schumacher does come out of the whole affair with some integrity and is willing to admit everything ultimately was his responsibility. I actually began to like Schumacher from his brief interview snippits. I think I may watch Forever and and Robin with his commentaries on before the day is out.

I watched the 2-hour "Diamond in the Rough" feature on the Aladdin DVD, but before that I watched the movie with the pop-up trivia. I didn't realize so much went into an animated movie, it was all very interesting.

Several bits and pieces of things on the Nightmare on Elm Street boxset bonus disc:

Renny Harlin talking about the success of Nightmare 4 and the night of the premiere with Bob Shaye (in which he actually mentions Disney by name), Rachel Talalay (she is so wonderful!) talking about Nightmare 2, Rachel showing collectibles / souvenirs from the sets, Jack Shoulder talking about the success of the series / Wes Craven talking about his decided dis-involvement with Nightmare 2, Lou Carlucci talking about the design of the glove, clips of Robert Englund in character on MTV and TV/video promos of Nightmare 2, 4, and 5, Robert Englund telling his "taco / transvestite" anecdote, and a couple of the animated photo galleries.

Back on the Nightmare bonus disc, about 20 clips of Robert Englund in-character (all of the ones I could find). Jack Shoulder talking about the publicity of Nightmare 2, Jeffrey Wells on publicizing Nightmare 2, John Landis on ridiculous comedy series', Clive Barker about sequel-overkill, John Saxon on on-set tensions, Heather Langenkamp on trick or treaters / the success of the series reachers her in college, Bob Shaye on screening the film for Paramount.

On the Exorcist: 25th Anniversary Special Edition disc, 2 TV spots, and the theatrical trailer for The Exorcist II: The Heretic.

Just finished watching 16 Blocks with Bruce Willis and Mos Def with the "shocking alternate ending not shown in theaters" that turned out to be a lot better than the original ending shown in the theaters. Also watched the deleted scenes with Richard Donner's commentary. Probably one of the most complete discs to come out in quite some time.

Last night I also watched Beyond the Valley of the Dolls with the commentary by Screenwriter Roger Ebert (yes, that same Roger Ebert). Then I watched most of the second-disc extra features. Will finish those sometime today.
