I happen to love Christina despite harsh criticism. She is constantly compared to the godawful Britney Spears, but it is clear that she owns Britney in vocals, and her songs always deliver thoughtful messages yet at the same time are fun. I'll be hearing her new track real soon.

I think I like her performance of the new song tonight better than the actual thing...

Don't understand what the big deal is with this 'chick'. She's has no talent, can't sing, can't dance, and is definitely not a role model for anyone's kids. Where have all the talented people gone?

Yea, she can sing for sure. I'd say she's one of the best right now along with Mariah Carey & Kelly Clarkson.

1. Not every singer has to be a role model for kids. Don't like your children seeing her? Switch channels... She is one singer that never claimed to be a "role model", unlike others out there.
2. She can definetely sing. You're the first I've heard that says she can't. About the dancing... Well, she's never claimed to be a professional dance for all I know, so who cares?
3. Talented people are still around. There's just much more junk nowadays.

At first I thought he might have mistaken her for Mrs. Kevin Federline. Or maybe he actually is.
I actually used to think exactly like dvdjunkie before I actually gave Christina a fair chance. I've only really been a fan of her for just over 2 years. I doubt he has ever really heard any songs and is just basing his opinion on "Dirrty." When there's a lot of crap music out there right now, some people will think that talented singers are non-existant in this world now.
As for dancing, she's not big on dancing because she's a vocalist and she sings *live*, so she can't move around
too much.

If the CDs aren't copy-protected, and I like the album, I might have to pick it up, simply because I love that cover. Very classy, and very retro.

Did you guys see her video? I think it's pretty cool, too. Retro is her new style for this era.
If you haven't seen it, watch it on YouTube-

Trivia- at the beginning of the video and at the end, you hear about 30 seconds of one of her other new songs. It's called "I Got Trouble" and she made it sound like it's straight from the 1920s. She used a vintage microphone to sing it into with a ragged cloth overtop it to sound muffled. To add to that, she recorded the song when she had a cold.

MTV announced that "Candyman" will be her 2nd single. Listen to this minute+ clip of it from the link below. It's kind of like 1940s pop, and her video is likely going to be 40s Navy/military themed. It has samples from one of the old military songs (but you won't hear it in this clip, it's incomplete).

Ok, so the entire album leaked just a few hours ago.
Maybe you guys can find them on p2p programs, but I didn't download any complete songs so that I will be surprised when I open the CD. If any of you want to download them, here's the complete tracklisting of the double album-
DISC ONE (modern side):
1- Back To Basics (Intro)
2- Makes Me Wanna Pray
3- Back In the Day
4- Ain't No Other Man
5- Understanding
6- Slow Down Baby
7- Oh Mother
8- F.U.S.S (Interlude)
9- On Our Way
10- Without You
11- Still Dirrty
12- Here to Stay
13- Thank You (Dedication to Fans)
DISC TWO (authentic old-style side):
14- Enter the Circus
15- Welcome
16- Candyman
17- Nasty Naughty Boy
18- I Got Trouble
19- Hurt
20- Mercy On Me
21- Save Me From Myself
22- The Right Man
Critics and fans are both eating this up and saying that this is Album Of The Year material and a "masterpiece!"

Personally, I wouldn't say it's THE album of the year, (IMO, that title is still held by the Dixie Chicks) but the CD is QUITE delicious, and a pleasant surprise.

So you heard the whole thing?

I haven't heard anything except short clips. Nothing against anyone who downloads it, I'm just personally saving my excitement for when I buy it in a store.
I read the lyrics to "Nasty Naughty Boy"

OMG!!!! What a....dirrty, hot, sweaty sexy song.
The lyrics to the more serious love songs are very sweet; there are some really touching songs.

NNB isn't my favorite, actually. Mostly because of the placement right after Candyman, another sexual song. I love Candyman though. But yeah, two sex songs in a row is overkill. *This is why I'm scared for Janet's new CD. I just know she's gonna have like all 8 of the sex songs in a row. Probably linked by the sound of rain, since she can't come up with anything she hasn't already done 50 times before.

I'm a fan, really! But I'm going off topic...*
My favorite ATM is Slow Down Baby. Very funky.
