Ooooo!!! Pals, I totally agree, if they can't give "Robin Hood and his Merrie Men" the SE treatment, then "Condorman" or "The North Avenue Irregulars" should get the SE treatment. They are all deserving of a better release on DVD.

I've been waiting for a decent Hocus Pocus DVD for years now! I bought the (VERY) bare bones copy when it came out but i'd love to see those trailers, deleted scenes, behind the scenes featurettes (this movie had a ton of cool special effects) and ideally, a director/producer/actor commentary. a gallery would be neat too but other than the drew struzan poster there was not much artwork made for this movie. it had no memorabilia other that a children's novelization.

Rocketeer all the way. I like the idea of making it a Vista Series release. Then it can sit beside TRON on my shelf as two of the most underrated films Disney has ever made.

A sweet digital remaster would be in order... nothing fancy; just clean up some matte lines and some of the compositing.

That would make me happy indeed...

I voted for Bedknobs and Broomsticks, but I don't have any of the Honey I shrunk the kids trilogy so that would be great too.

Hocus Pocus definatley! The idea of the 3 witches commentray is genius. I would hope that all 3 of them would participate (Kathy would because what else does she have to do?)

Oh without any kind of doubt, the next Disney live action film that REALLY needs a special edition is Honey, I Shrunk the Kids! I can't believe they released that film with only 10 chapters and no special features!! They should be shot for that! As far as a trilogy special release... Forget it. The sequels were not as good as the original. Though Blew Up the Baby wasn't bad, I think it deserves an updated edition, but not a full-blown 2-disc like the original NEEDS.

Then, it would be nice for Bedknobs & Broomsticks, Pete's Dragon, and of course Song of the South and So Dear to My Heart to get serious special editions. Since B&B and P'sD are so long, they should probably get 2-discers. That would be the ideal. I mean, before Mickey Rooney bites the big one.

Then, I think Treasure Island, Davy Crockett: King of the Wild Frontier, Darby O'Gill and the Little People, The Absent-Minded Professor, That Darn Cat!, White Fang, The Mighty Ducks, and Homeward Bound (remake) are all more than fair game for seriously extended editions, 2-disc Vault, or the same exact Vault design and features found on special editions like Escape to Witch Mountain, Return from Witch Mountain, Freaky Friday, and The Apple Dumpling Gang. And if they were to think this idea seems a little crazy or excessive, they could pad the length of the bonus features on disc 2's by including trailers and tv spots for the movies they didn't give trailers to on the original DVD's.

I also think several other movies deserve extended special 1-disc editions. Like: Snowball Express, Hocus Pocus, The Ugly Dachshund, The Rocketeer, Babes in Toyland, and Something Wicked This Way Comes.

It was really hard, but I voted for Pete's Dragon, as I have seen Bedknobs and I think it has had a decent release. One I would like to include is Treasure Island...Walt's first attempt at full Live Action!!

I might be alone on this one, but I really wish they would release a better version of Blackbeard's Ghost. Not a great movie, but it could definitely look better than the pan'n'scan disaster that's out now.

I voted for Hocus Pocus. I really think that Disney needs to put this movie out on a totally better 2-disc 25th Anniversary Edition re-release in 2 years. Did you know that Kenny Ortega, the same person who directed the awesomely fantastic High School Musical, also directed this film? I didn't know that. Anyway, I really think that a 2-Disc 25th Anniversary Edition, or a regular 2-disc special edition, really needs to happen. I love this movie, and since I'm waiting for a better re-release, I can only see the movie occasionally on Disney Channel. And since it's a movie about Halloween, the only time that Disney really airs the movie is near Halloween. So I voted yes for Hocus Pocus, and Disney should totally make this an awesomely fantastic re-release

Hocus Pocus. That movie is a modern classic and deserves one.

I voted for The Rocketeer - one of the most underrated movies, in my opinion.

I tend to agree that the Bedknobs DVD is pretty gosh-darn groovy right now (especially given I got it for free in a Disney promo ). However, an ideal version would perhaps include the theatrical cut and the current DVD version as well as the bonus features we already have, and maybe a new commentary.

I think the one MOST in need of an upgrade, though, is Treasure Island. It was, after all, Disney's first live action venture and it has influenced so many of the projects that have come since. The theme parks could be mentioned, Treasure Planet and Pirates of the Caribbean could all get a mention on a 'Pirates of Disney' documentary, for example.

For me, I think the Mighty Ducks trilogy and Pete's Dragon need upgrades. Pete's Dragon current DVD isn't the best picture and the sound is still kinda fuzzy. I would love to see some making-of featurettes and maybe see a person or two from the cast and hear their views on the movie.

Mighty Ducks (or at least the first two or three) need to come out again. Those movies are classics. Those were the only movies I never had to be bribed to go see with my family. It's been years and these movies aren't too well known to the new generation.

Pete's Dragon since he hold a special place in my heart, its the first disney live action movie i have see, when we use to have every 2 friday a movie playing in the gym,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,good old memories

I love Cool Runnings! They could make all kinds of special features for that movie. They could have a tribute to John Candy, commentary from the original Jamaican bobsledders, a featurette on bobsledding . . . The possibilities are endless.

Doug E. Doug was awesome as Sanka. I start laughing just thinking about, "Get back to work!", "ICE?!" "I love Jamaica and Jamaica loves me!" and some of his other lines in the movie. Whatever happened to him?

I've voted for other, thinking of Something Wicked this Way Comes, which I think it a phenomenal film. It's not about it being "scary" but atmospheric. The film is all about atmosphere, and with that in mind, the film is very, very successful.

But more importantly, its based on a modern day classic, from a modern day classic author. One day, Bradbury will be as highly regarded as Poe and/or Lovecraft.

AND HE'S STILL ALIVE.. In case you missed that, I repeat - HE IS STILL ALIVE and able to participate in any special features they want. But – sadly – he won't be around for long. So Disney needs to get somebody over to Bradbury's and interview, film, document the great man so that a DVD fitting this film and its heritage can be released.

Well, I chose the Honey trilogy, though I'm not sure a Special Edition for "We Shrunk Ourselves" is necessary. I would love to see extras for the other two, including stuff about their former presence in the Disney-MGM Studios Backlot Tour and on the "We Shrunk the Audience" attraction. I'd like a featurette on Quark! I want a dog just like that someday! Ha. And there's plenty they could include about the effects and stuff. I thought "Blew Up the Kid" was a great movie too, and when it came out I had it bad for Keri Russell (sp?) in that movie. Would love some behind the scenes on that one. Another bonus for me is that I wouldn't be double-dipping because I don't have any of them on DVD format yet. In truth, I would LOVE a special edition of Hocus Pocus even more, it is one of my top fave flicks of all time, but I already have the bare bones release... Anyways, all that stuff on the list would be great though. Rocketeer would be really awesome, and I still need to get that one on DVD too. And, I wonder how good the current "White Fang" DVD is. That was another great one from that time.

However, two more of my all time favorite Disney films from that time are "Dick Tracy," which is probably the MOST worthy of a special edition, and "The Adventures of Huck Finn," starring Elijah Wood. I have those DVDs, and there's nothing on DT and very little on Huck Finn (that one really is a TOP TOP TOP fave film of mine).

I'm pretty satisfied with the current editions of Bedknobs and Pete's Dragon I think.

As a side note, talking a little about Honey I Shrunk the Kids, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE for the TV series to get a DVD release. LOVED that show!

Dick Tracy was actually being prepped for a special edition (under the two-disc Vista Series banner). But since the previous titles weren't as successful as BVHE had hoped, they opted instead to release the already stellar new transfer they made (complete with DTS) as a barebones set.

Anyways, to echo what I said earlier in this thread some months ago, I really really would like to see The Rocketeer get a special edition. I wrote a few for the Ultimate DVD thread (The Rocketeer, The Black Hole, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and The Watcher in the Woods), and would love if one of them came to fruition.

Escapay
