What a great package :) I'll definately be getting it. I'm not too keen on the movie but I'm always interested in how these films were made.

Can someone clarify me something?

I know Sleeping Beauty has been added to the Platinum Edition Line.
Yet it was released as a Special Edition only last month, so... my question... is Disney going to rerelease it as a Platinum Edition too?? It's gonna have the same transfer, extras, etc., isn't it?!

It will probably be re-released as part of the Platinum line its next incarnation, but I think that's at least 5 years off. I'd imagine most of the stuff on this disc will be reused, and I doubt much (if anything) added.

You guys have to post the news and a link here on other DVD site forums. Nobody knows about this, and when we get scoops first...they don't know because they just don't know!

i wonder if this will give a new life to the old alice in wonderland live-action television series from the early 90s. perhaps if this gets big, we can see the complete series on dvd.....ok that's probably hoping for too much.

That show was cool. Remember when Rabbit's cousin came to visit him, Rabbit De Niro? Elisabeth Harnois has done like four major acting gigs and I love all of them - as a little one in One Magic Christmas, then in "Adventures in Wonderland"...a "Boy Meets World" guest spot, and the totally awesome "My Date with the President's Daughter" which hopefully will come to DVD next year. :D

"My Date With the President's Daughter" :o

Disney made a film about dating Chelsea Clinton? Did Bill sue? :)

Ha, actually, Dabney Coleman played the president...so he should have been happy with that.

And Chelsea's got nothing on Elisabeth in the movie...

Best TV movie ever, man. (Besides "Principal Takes a Holiday"!) Will Friedle is hilarious - he really should be doing more than the Ron Stopabble voice and a new failed sitcom every 18 months or so. This is really getting off-topic of Alice...but it can easily be traced back. Rewind...Will Friedle..."My Date"...Elisabeth Harnois..."Adventures in WOnderland"...Alice DVD. And we're back!

I just did so over at the DVDFile board. Though I don't post much there, hopefully this'll get some more visitors over here. :)

That's pretty damn cool.
It certainly has enough on there to warrant a second purchase (well, a first purchase for me...my first copy was a gift :)).
Glad to finally see the full "One Hour in Wonderland" Special (assuming it is the whole thing) and an Alice comedy as well.
Looks like I'll be starting the year spending again!
Not a good precedent to set for my 'year of spending less'.

Also good to see that Lilo and Poca are coming out later in the year as well.

Disney is an agent working against my wallet aren't they?

Oh, and it's my unbirthday too. :yinyang:

Alice is one of my favorites! I've been holding out buying the GC edition in hopes of a good SE. It looks like the wait will pay off in January. This deserves a Homer Simpson "WOOHOO!!"

I am glad that the release dates for the other SE's have been changed. that way the cash flow can be stretched out instead of disney sucking the wallet dry all at once

AWESOME! Thanks a bunch for the info. And who can say Alice Comedy?!

Well, hopefully, if this sells well, this will lead to an Alice Comedies Treasure. Would be a nice slice of VERY early Disney.

Wow, some great extras! I sold my Gold Collection about 4 months ago in anticipation for this title... when's the release date?

It's on the front page, but Alice is due out Jan. 27 2004. So, we got Nemo and the Treasures between now and then to keep us happy.

Wow this sounds pretty good! I know I'll be buying it! But wait.....I thought Pocahontas was supposed to come out on the same date?? :|

Pocahontas has been post-poned. It's definitely coming in 2004, but no one's really sure when. My guess would be March because then it'd be right between Alice and Lilo (which comes out May).
