Well I don´t really agree with that - there are a lot of shorts in the Silly Symphony-series that are fameous and can make a set sell, I think!
What about these:
Playful Pan
The Spider and the Fly
King Neptune
Bugs in Love
Santa´s Workshop
The Pied Piper
The Night Before Christmas
The Goddess of Spring
Three Orphan Kittens
Cock O´The Walk
Broken Toys
Merbabies
to name a few!
Oh, no deny, Chernabog. I guess what I meant to say was Pied Piper and Little Hiawatha were probably the best KNOWN of the missing ones, but there are LOADS that I want, including Night Before Christmas, the two Kittens short, plus ALL the old black and white ones. There were a LOT back in the day that have yet to be released. No deny, they SHOULD finish this, because it's some good stuff and more than a few have only been seen *censored* on Disney Channel. Bah!

I love your new avatar Joe! It's awesome! Does anybody know if any of the past treasures will be rereleased? I really want the Goofy treasure but don't want to pay the high price. I am hoping the Disney Club will sell all of the 2nd wave treasures together like they are doing now for the 1st wave treasures.

Well, buzz is at some point the older Treasures WILL be re-issued, but probably not for a while. Recommend checking Ebay for the Treasures at this poing, since most of the previous seven are gone.

Thanks BriarRose32! Your avatar is great too!
As MPeriolat said, the rumour is that the Treasures are going to be rereleased, but not in tins, just in ordinary plastic cases. But nobody knows when that is going to happen.

Okay, I suppose the "Stereotypes Introduction" will be Maltin basically saying there are some things that could be considered offensive by today's standards like he has before. But I am curious about the "Uncharacteristic Behaviors" Intros.
Can anyone enlighten us to what these are?
I also hope the intro are skippable, I hate it when they force you to watch them everytime you go to see the cartoon. They are fine for the first time, but not over and over.

Y'know, even at this late date, I'm still a bit skeptical at these content reports. I'm not doubting about the cartoons and stuff, but these things are so specific and I think that has to be hard given we're still a month and a half OUT. The All Together being listed twice for On the Front Lines is an example of that.
*sighs* I dunno, I just want these out so I can finish sorting my collection. As for the future? Well, let's get through this round, then I'll let my greedy inner child out.

Maltin wrote:These days it would be wrong to even suggest a desire to skip my introductions on the Walt Disney Treasures. But you have to place Maerj's post in it's original context. This post was made yesterday, when such attitudes and ideas were common place. In those days, most people would be happy to skip my introductions and just get on with watching the cartoons I had assembled for their enjoyment without a second thought. Happily we now live in more enlightened times.

If they still don't have things finalized, they are in BIG trouble.
Although not releasing it officially, there is no way that contents are still being decided upon. By now production must have begun and are piling up in a Disney warehouse waiting for shipping to retailers.
Those with knowledge may not be speaking, but things just aren't cut that close, even in today's "no inventory" world.

Well, I'm sure DISNEY has everything finalized and getting ready to ship, but I doubt the lists of contents are out to the public just yet, since we're still catching inaccuracies. That being said, come next week, they should be letting us know, since we're one month out at that point.
As for me... well, I got catching up to do. I gotta get EVERYTHING that was released since September, so Christmas is gonna be something. Especially the Treasures. Then Alice a month later. Just amazing.
