By the way - I never got this, but what exactly is Primetime - what time of night? 8-10pm? 8-11pm? 8pm-12am? 7-10pm? 7-11/12? 7:30? 8:30? 9?

I find it hard to believe that there are people on this thread who don't watch
24 or
House. Two of the best shows on television - bar none!!

If there are ever good TV re-runs on, I watch those during Primetime hours. And of course every now and then, I watch pieces of shows that are hits now.

Well, I don't know what "Prime Time" is. 8pm - 10pm?
Anyhow, shows that catch my eye at the moment:
Life on Mars
Absolutely superb semi-time-travel fish out of water drama (but the time-travel is a once only event and not really the point of it) - its cool, ironic, dramatic, funny, emotional, surreal and enigmatic. All at the same time!
Hyperdrive
A sci-fi comedy staring Spaced and Shaun of the Dead's Nick Frost and "the actor" Kevin Eldon. The first episode was a bit disappointing, but I still have high hopes for the future.
QI
A quiz show, where people have to relate "quite interesting" information, normally an excuse for humour. But being as Stephen "The Guide" Fry is the host, and he's just as knowledgable as the guide itself, it's compulsive viewing (plus I can't get that annoying theme tune out of my head once it starts playing).
The Late Edition
In the absence of Have I Got News For You (on one of its breaks at the moment) I get my fix of UK satire with this show, shown only on BBC4.
Channel 4 News
Hands down the best news programme on any channel, in any country. Jon Snow is a news God.

Sunday 7-11pm
Mon-Sat 8-11pm
Primetime may be 7-11 and 8-11 for broadcast networks, but officially, primetime begins at 6 pm. I remember reading this in some article about television, because shows that qualify for the Daytime Emmys must be either syndicated or broadcast-run between 2 am and 6 pm.
Daytime is considered 2 am to 6 pm
Primetime is considered 6 pm to 2 am
Also, the networks used to have control of the 7 pm hour for every day of the week back in the day, though I'm not sure when that whole hour went to local station control. At least they still have it on Sundays.

I mainly only watch Gilmore Girls for the moment.
I used to watch 7th Heaven and Everwood, but 7th Heaven got boring and dull really fast last season, so I started skipping it.
And Everwood, I liked it, but I don't get home from my dance class until after 9 on Thursdays, and by then i'm too tired and have homework left to do. I've tried setting the vcr before I leave, but in my family no one cares if you have it set for something or not.
I occasionally watch re-runs of Charmed and The Nanny in the mornings before school. Nanny always puts me in a good mood for the mornings.

Sometimes I feel like I'm glued to the television.
On Monday nights I watch Las Vegas, Related and Medium.
On Tuesdays, it's House, Supernatural, and Fear Factor
On Wednesdays, it's Bones, if I remember to watch it.
On Thursdays..Smallville, ER, That '70s Show and Joey, but it's on hiatus right now I think.
On Fridays, it's What I like about you, Reba, and Twins.
I don't watch TV on Saturdays
On Sunday, It's Charmed
I do like American Idol, but not until the competition starts. I don't care to see the auditions. I absolutely can't miss House, Supernatural, or Smallville. In fact, the VCR is set to record on the off chance we aren't home on those nights.
