Corpse Bride and The Chronicles of Narnia. Both probably the best movie soundtracks I've heard in recent years.

Moulin Rouge! - volumes one and two. Both are extremely awesome, but the first is pretty much awesome-est.

Disney's soundtracks are always very good, so it's hard to choose just one. For non-Disney/animated, I'd say the Titanic soundtrack was excellent, save for the annoying ''My Heart Will Go On'' that tortures the souls of those who've watched the film.

Who knew there was a volume 2? Oh, Renata did, I guess. I have a soundtrack to it, presumably volume 1. I've never seen the movie, but the soundtrack has grown on me since I first bought it. I need to make a list of my own favorite soundtracks for this thread soon.

Do musicals count? Let's just say they do for my purposes...

The Wizard of Oz
Oklahoma!
Bye Bye Birdie
The Sound of Music
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Fiddler On The Roof

and, the only none musical on my list...
Gone With The Wind (amazing soundtrack)

I can't think of anymore right now, but I know there have to be a few more.

Not music but songs....

I really enjoy the Spider-Man Soundtrack. :)

For musicals, I would go with Singing In The Rain and A Hard Days Night.

In terms of soundtrack, the most effective soundtrack IMO is The Third Man. I know it is just the one man playing the zither but is adds so much to the atmosphere. I would not want it on CD though.
