Stay away from stores like DVDSoon.com and DeepDiscountDVD when buying oop titles.

They list a lot of titles that they do not have, and will not get. They do this with intent because that way they can get a cheap loan (free loan).

They charge your credit card upon order. Then you must waite many weeks (and several times months) before they suddenly find out that they will not be able to take care of your order and then refund you. Once I experienced a 6 months waite with dvdsoon (the name is absolutely desiving). I think a half year waite is a little to much.

My sugestion is to not order titles only after who has the best price. Also consider the customer service for that particular site.

Amazon are often a little more expencive then the others (just a little) but you know that you can trust them. You also give UlitmateDisney.com a few bucks every time you order from them thru this website so Amazon should realy be our first choice.

Best Buy.com has all Buena Vista titles 20% off!

Best Buy.com has all of their Buena Vista DVD titles 20% off right now. Lots to choose from. Not sure if the brick and mortar stores are honoring this or not. It is on bestbuy.com's home page-just scroll down toward the bottom and look for the link.

A good chance to get several titles on sale!

RE: Best Buy sale.

The animated titles are at a good price. However, you might shop around on the live action titles. For example, Wal Mart has Swiss Family Robinson and Old Yeller $5 less than the Best Buy sale prices!

If you take advantage of the Best Buy sale, you can also do this:

But a best buy gift card for yourself (the one with the Mickey on it). ON the back you will find a coupon for Disney DVDs.

$5 off two
$10 off three
$15 off four
etc.

They will accept the 20% off and the $5/$10/$15 off for the same purchase.

You may want to try your local Best Buy store. That's where I found my copy of Sleeping Beauty and it was almost a month past the "back to the vault" day. I've heard that some of the Best Buy's still have copies of Beauty and the Beast, but I can't remember if mine did or not. All the copies of Disney movies I saw had their slipcovers so you might get lucky and find a copy with one.

By the way, welcome to the forum! I'm relatively new here myself, but it's a lot of fun and the people are really cool.

Boders usually has Snow White and Fye usually has Beauty and the Beast. A local Publix had Beauty in the Beast.

Have you tried the Disney Store? Both of the DS here have several copies of Beauty and the Beast WITH the slipcover. Not sure why they haven't sold out by now or been sent back cuz their price for it ain't bad at all.

As for Snow White, I recently found a few at a grocery store that also sells DVDs, but they are all gone now.

It's nice that these are for sale. I wish the Ultimate Toy Box, the Fantasia anthology, or Tarzan CE was still for sale at some of these places.

(If you're Canadian) you can get Beauty and the Beast at any local Chapters. And Wal-Mart often puts Snow White out when the new Platinums come out, or (like last year) when they had a special Princess week for Cinderella 2/Valentine's Day.

I'm keeping my eye out for Snow White, and Beauty and the Beast X'mas.

tmc2k1,

When you say toy box, do you mean the Toy Story 3-disc collector's set Ultimate Toy box, cause they don't seem to even have it in their search engine. Anyways, welcome to the forum! :D
