I've watched Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland (thank you DMC :P ) in the past two days and both of their transfers are A-MA-ZING! These movies have never looked so good. Compare that to Pocahontas GC (which I got used) and the two-disc releases blow that one out of the water. I can't wait to see Snow White. I feel a Disney marathon weekend coming on!

For multi-disc sets, a short list includes Snow White, Cinderella, Aladdin, The Fantasia Anthology, Mary Poppins, Pocahontas and most things Pixar (except Finding Nemo, as that had generally fluffy bonuses). The transfers on these are amazing, and the bonus features on all rock. I'd have to also give honourable mentions to the cartoon sets of the Walt Disney Treasures line, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Bambi and Tron, as those DVDs are almost as groovy. As a matter of fact, I rented the Tron DVD and was amazed by it, but I didn't see enough to make it onto the main list. For the best 1 disc about, I'd say Peter Pan or Dumbo.

The initial poster asked for ONE.

That would have to be the Fantasia Anthology.

I'm the initial poster and I'm not picky. ;) I'll except more than one recommendation. :D
