I use a hair dryer these days.

The Q-tip/nail polish remover method doesn't seem to work for me...

the 16th most practical re-use for the Disney tins is at Christmas time.... Give your homemade cookies that special Disney touch this holiday season, put them in a Disney tin!

I just took the sticky stuff off of my Rarities and it came right off. It didn't leave anything behind. I've had dvds, though, with stickers and glop that has left marks before. It's a pain.

It probably depends on which store you bought it from? Some use removable tags and others use stickers without much thought to the consequences? I have not removed anything as of yet but planning to give that goo gone a try when the time comes. (everything is still in pristene shrink wrap for now)

I went to kmart, and they didn't have goo gone? Is there a lot of it in stores, or do I have to buy online?

Try a home improvement store, like Home Depot.

Just bought the Goo Gone spray at home depot, and it worked really well in getting rid of the residue left over from the security labels. It smelled really good too!

I actually put mine under hot water for a while, and dryed it and what do you know, the glue becomes REALLY easy to scrap off.

I'm having trouble with this with my Rarites WDT that I got for Christmas. I think I'll try and search my house for some goo gone. I'm not sure if we have any, but there isn't any harm in looking.

I took off the price sticker off my sister's The Devil Wear Prada slipcase and it left residue. I tried rubbing it off, but them it just looked dirty. Then I got my plastic eraser and it came right off! I hope this works for tins, I think it will though. Make sure it's an eraser made in Japan or the Staedtler from Germany (i think it's from Germany), use only white plastic ones that come inside a little wrapper.

Also when removing the dvd seal do it with a tweezer. Gently weasel it under the sticker and then slowly and patiently start lifting it up. It all takes patience.

 UGH! I hate left over sticky stuff. Luckily I had no problem with my tins. What I usually do is take a piece of box tape, fold it to where the sticky is on the outside & lay & pull over the sticky residue. It takes a few times & a couple of pieces of tape but it always pulls it up when I lift the tape & it's easy & not messy at all.

I find metho, tea-tree oil or even nail polish remover to be effective.

This year, however, I had absolutely no problems removing the security stickers from the cases. I wish I could say as much for last year's Rarities, which STILL has residue on it!

Loomis try my method, use a white rubber eraser. It might work, if you try it let me know if it works.

I use "Goo Gone" at my work sometimes, and it's messed up a few plastic things.

On another note, I hate that sticky crap too. I usually am willing to spend an extra $3 to buy a DVD from a store that doesn't include those kinds of stickers on their DVD.

Here in Belgium the Cars DVD comes with a poster. Very nice of them to include that and all, but the problem is: it is actually GLUED to the plastic inlay holder of the case. It's glued on it with about 15 blobs of glue.

Now THAT's a nightmare.

Result: Bumped plastic and remains of glue on the back :x

Will do. Now all I need to do is find a white rubber eraser.

If I was at work right now, I could raid the stationary cupboard... :)

...Contined...

16.) Time capsule container
17.) Coffin for small animals
18.) Hide your cigarettes, drugs, and condoms in them (only enlarge that text if you are over 18 and not overly sensative)
19.) Open them, drill holes into the sides, hang them from trees outside and fill with birdseed
20.) Open, place on floor. Fill one side with water and the other side with dog/cat food.
