Why hasn't anyone metion about Jack yet?

Anyways Jack will be happy that Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain will be release in DVD sets next year.

I really hope Tiny Toons Adventures and Alvin and the Chipmunks are next.

Arch Bishop: King Yakko, your throne.
Wakko Warner: The throne? How do you lift the lid?
Dot: Since when do *you* lift the lid?

Miss Flamiel: We'll move on to science. Dot, what can you tell me about the great scientists of the nineteenth century?
Dot: They're all dead.
Miss Flamiel: No no no!
Dot: All right. They're all living.
Miss Flamiel: No no no!
Yakko Warner: Well, now we're getting into philosophy.

Brain: Are you thinking what I'm thinking, Pinky?
Pinky: Um, I think so, Brainie, but why would anyone want to pierce Brosnan?

...Pure genious....

Animaniacs:
It's been two weeks exactly since we broke the news that Animaniacs is headed to DVD in 2006. Fans of the classic animated cartoon have been going wacko, bombarding us with questions and asking for more information...and we've got it for you! We've found out that this show, along with spin-off series Pinky and the Brain, is tentatively penciled in for July 25, 2006 on Warner Home Video's release schedule. Now be careful, because that date is EXTREMELY subject to change, but it ought to give you an idea of just how far off these are from release. The studio doesn't want them to slip too far past that date, though, because they would like to get "Volume 2" sets for both shows out to stores in time for Christmas 2006. We don't mind a bit!

Our deep, dark, secret industry sources tell us to expect these to be in "Volume" sets, in order by the original airdate, similar to the way Batman: The Animated Series has been released by Warner. The goal is to put 22 half-hour installments onto 4 DVDs for each set. So that there is no redundant content between the two releases (in other words, Warner isn't forcing you to buy the same cartoon shorts twice if you purchase both shows), the Pinky and the Brain DVDs are planned to NOT include the half-hour shows which were made up of PatB material taken from Animaniacs (something the show did in the early days of the spin-off in order to have more "episodes" in short order).

This ought to answer the majority of the initial questions we've been bombarded with about these releases since our scoop a couple of weeks ago. We doubt we'll have much more to say for the next few months, while Warner finalizes their plans and gets production of these DVDs together. For now, let's categorize everything you've just read as "rumor mill" stuff, and take it with a grain of salt. But stay tuned, and just as soon as we have confirmation from the studio, or some new information to update you with, we will let you know!

The report also mentions that fans who buy both the Animaniacs and the Pinky and the Brian sets won't be double dipping on cartoons.

I was such a megafan of this show when it came out, I memorized the words to many of the songs. Such as, "I'm Mad" (I still remember some of that - you might not find these lyrics anywhere over the internet), Yakko's "Nations of the World", Wakko's "The 50 American States" (or something to that effect), and a few others... I would LOVE to see those episodes.

tvshowsondvd.com confirmed date for both Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain on July 25, 2006.

Animaniacs has two possible artwork while Pinky and the Brain has one.

Both artworks look like Tom and Jerry background all gray.

Yay, Animaniacs!!! :D

Although it had its weak spots (Buttons and Mindy, I'm looking at you...), the better parts more than made up for this. The Goodfeathers eps had some very sophisitcated humor (inasmuch as only someone old enough to have watched movies like Goodfellas, the Godfather, etc., would really get them), as did a lot of the Warner's skits (such as the tribute to The Seventh Seal where they encounter a grim reaper with a Scandinavian accent).

And I was going through my music collection the other day when I found the "U.N. Me" song. I haven't laughed so hard in a while.

Bring on the DVDs!

And looking at the art, it seems to set up perfectly a Tiny Toons release.

Possibly a whole "Steven Speilberg Presents" section.

Capting Kirk: Who. Are. You?
Wakko + Yakko: We're. The. Warner Brothers.
Dot: And. The. Warner Sister. Dot.

Capting Kirk: Kahn!!!! What are you doing?

Or the 2001: A Space Odyssey episode.
X9000 - I'm gonna sing a song, tum tum ta da tum ta dum ta dum ta dum ta (singing The President's March).
Yakko: I know who it is, it's the most boring guy ever... Vice President Al Gore (he opens a door with Al Gore talking into a microphone).

Priceless episodes that I look foward to seeing again!

Best day I've had in a while. The cover art layout is classic.

Does anyone have a prediction on how much it will be at Best Buy or Circuit City when it comes out? $44.98 is retail price. I know someone out there can conclude the sale price from the retail price!
