Can anyone believe this, The Titanic 3-Disc SCE for $17.99 at circuit city?
http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/category ... 013219&c=1
It sounds TOO cheap for it to be true, I expected a price range from $28 to $35 bucks, this sounds like a really good deal!

It's not hard to believe. I'll be getting mine at Best Buy (which has it for $19.99), but I'll be taking the Circuit City ad in, to have them price match the $17.99 price!

Definitely The Wizard of Oz 3-Disc Collector's Edition.
Does anyone know how much that's going to cost at Best Buy?

I'll get Bewitched: The Complete Second Season (Black & White) this week, and I'll pick up The Wizard Of Oz: 3-Disc Collector's Edition eventually.

I'll be buying Titanic,
renting Bewitched and House of Wax,
and putting Wizard of Oz 3-disc on my Christmas list.

$44.95 on a three disc set? Thats a terrible deal! Thats more than twice of what the two disc set is going to cost, and has just one more disc!

Best Buy has it in the weekly ad, at $33.99.

You don't have to agree with Alan, at least not for a week. My post above, which I'm guessing you didn't see, states that Best Buy has it in their weekly ad for $33.99. That's still alot of money, but better than $44.99.

Whatever you do when buying movies this week, don't forget to price match when you shop at Best Buy. You don't even have to have a copy of the competitor's ad with you. They have a list at Customer Service and will match with anyone price on that list. They don't match any dotcom prices so don't go there.
Ultimate Electronics has the Titanic 3-Disc for $13.95, along with House of Wax, and Herbie Fully Loaded. Best Buy will match those prices if you have an Ultimate Electronics store near you.
Target has the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes Golden Collection for $32.99, so you can price match that one at Best Buy.
Don't lose Reward Zone points by shopping somewhere else.

Man, I wish I had an Ultimate Electronics store nearby. Never heard of the store!
Think they'll still give me a price match?

I've got Wizard of Oz (3 Disc) and (shame to admit) Herbie: Fully Loaded in the post already.
I suspect, as usual, I'll wait until the New Year to get the Looney Tunes stuff, and any other Warner animation that is just too darned expensive to enjoy right now. Besides, I've barely made it through viewing the other boxes!

Where are you finding this information, DVDJUNKIE? I have the Ultimate Electronics ad, but Titanic 3-Disc is not listed. I called the store, to find out what they are pricing it at, and she said that they are not getting that movie in.
So, I'd love to have Best Buy price match the UE $13.95 price, but I don't see it advertised, nor is the store near me getting it in.

That movie holds a special place in my heart, because my Mom, Sister, and I used to watch it, every time it came on television. We made an event out of it. My Mom would cook (or order) something really good, and we would make a night out of it. Very good memories. .
How sweet. Almost the same thing happened with me and my mom but with almost all animated and few family movies they were. It didn't matter that I wasl already grown up. In fact, some of those special movies were
The Land Before Time series we uused to rent them every single one as soon as we saw it was already out for rent. It was so much better when we hold for a while since we could rent 2 or 3 of those at a time.
...but I'm not buying those since they keep on releasing them and probably if I start buying them now, my grandchildren would still be buying them

I'm getting Titanic (3 Disc Special Edition), and Wizard of Oz (3 Disc Special Edition). People are saying that, the cost for the 3 Disc is so much, and the differance is 1 disc. People got to remember that it is the total packaging for the 3-Disc. There is SO MUCH things that come with the DVD, it's not just the 1 extra disc.
*THIS ALL YOU GET FOR THE 3 DISC. THE 2 DISC DOES NOT GET THIS*
Disc 3:
L. Frank Baum: The Man Behind the Curtain
The Wizard of Oz (1910 short)
The Magic Cloak of Oz (1914 short)
His Majesty, The Scarecrow of Oz (1914 feature)
The Wizard of Oz (1925 feature)
The Wizard of Oz (1933 animated short)
Collector's Edition Exclusives:
* The Wizard of Oz Comes to Life - Grauman's Chinese Theatre Souvenir Premiere Program (August 15, 1939)
* Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studio News - IntraCorporate House Organ/Newspaper for the week beginning Monday, August 14, 1939. Specifically Celebrating the Release of The Wizard of Oz
* Photoplay Studies - Rare Secondary Education Scholastic In Honor of
The Wizard of Oz. Magazine, Volume V, Number 12 (circa August 1939)
* The Studio's Invitation to The Grauman's Premiere That Included Tickets to the Original Opening Night (plus a newly designed commemorative ticket)
*Deluxe Collector's Portfolio - Reproductions of Original 1939 Kodachrome Publicity Art -- nine portraits and on-set photographs

Don't know where you live MadonnaManOne.............but here in Kansas the ad clearly shows "Herbie Fully Loaded", "House of Wax" and "Titanic - 3-disc Collector's Edition" and then it says "Three days only - $13.95".
Maybe different areas of the country get different things. I notice when some people post prices at Best Buy they are always higher than they are here. So could be just the area of the country.

Man, that really sucks. I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and our ad has Bewitched, Herbie Fully Loaded, and House Of Wax for $13.95. It doesn't mention anything about Titanic: 3-Disc Collectors Edition.
Where are you located?
I'll still buy mine at Best Buy, and just use the Circuit City price, but that's still more than what your Ultimate Electronics is selling it for.
