From what i have read on the
www.tv.com forums
BMW season 4 is DELAYED not cancelled. Supposedly in the UK they're still going to ship season 4 on Feb 14. so hopefully in the states it'll come out roughly the same time.

Yeah tvshowsondvd.com reported a couple months ago that it was delayed. Hopefully we hear something soon of a new release date. I'm getting sick of these delays, if it's delayed to do some great extras that's fine, but if it's delayed and we get hardly any extras then what's the hold up Disney?

If it was coming out in February, we'd likely already have heard about it. Disney was simply looking for a better release window for the three shows they scheduled for January 10 (Beggars & Choosers, Once & Again, and the one we really care about, BMW) - as far as I know, there's no greater reason for the delay. Spring/summer should be likely.

i got desperate enough to look for it on a couple of P2P sites as well as bittorrent. No luck. I refuse to let go of this show due to slow DVD sales.

After checking out the tv.com boards for BMW, it looks like season 4 maybe on sale at
www.amazon.ca right now
$50.99 CDN is about $43.92 USD
http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000BNX4Y0/qid=1136992857/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/701-1829392-8583523
what's most impressive is the sales rank of 38!

I don't know how many times I have to assure people that we haven't seen the last of "Boy Meets World" on DVD. We haven't. It's a moneymaker for Disney and when they decide the timing is right for Season 4's release, we'll see it. They wouldn't have designed packaging and all that if it wasn't sure to be coming.
In any event, welcome to the forum! It's good to have another BMW fan among us!

Yeah I had no doubt we'll get the final 3 seasons on DVD, I just hate the delays, that's twice now
Luke do you think there's any chance we'll get Season 5 out this year as well?

I wouldn't count on it, but it's not an impossibility. As we've all noticed, Disney likes to bunch its TV sets together, even when there's not really any thematic connection. (The first season "BMW" release was an exception to the rule, but they hadn't done much in the way of sitcom sets back then.) Disney pretty much pulled out all the guns last fall as far as TV series go and "BMW" was not among them, and that was probably due to one of two reasons (or a mixture of both):
1) Season 3 had been released near the end of summer and it makes sense to space season sets out for a number of reasons, such as that it gives people more time to pick up the third season before just getting overwhelmed and giving up.
2) Disney doesn't consider "Boy Meets World" an A-list TV series as far as sales go. "Scrubs", "The Golden Girls", "Home Improvement", "Desperate Housewives", "Lost", and "Alias" would appear to be Disney's top Touchstone Television sellers. ("Grey's Anatomy" may likely join the class.) They were all grouped next to or near each other, and while BMW is certainly a success, Disney is probably apt to group it with other shows it won't get quite as much attention from. Now that "Felicity" and "Popular" have had their entirety put on DVD, its counterparts were "Beggars & Choosers" and "Once & Again." Whether they'll still be joining BMW when it gets released or they'll all be spread out remains to be seen.
But anyway, it really depends when Disney puts BMW: S4 back on the schedule for. If it's like April or May, then a fall release seems feasible, but if it's August, then probably not.
Another effect this delay is having, whether intended or not, is making fans who haven't bought the first seasons to gobble them up in the hopes that the DVDs don't stop.

Hey guys & gals, i'm new to the fourm (just discovered this forum now), and just wanted to say that I have recently made a petition for Boy Meets World Season 4, in an attempt to try to show them that we are more then ready, and have been anticipating it's release for a long time now.
please sign it and pray that it has an effect and gets us an earlier release date, then the current "TBA"

release Boy Meets World Season 4 petition...

not sure how many people saw my petition if the "Boy Meets World Season 4 thread", so I thought for more publicity, which in turn will equal more signatures, here is the petition I created in attempt to have Boy Meets World released sooner, or at the very least to get an actual release date for season 4 of Boy Meets World. I, like many of you, have been anticipating it's release for a very long time, for me, since Oct. 23rd 2005, when I first pre-ordered it from Amazon, when it was initially expected to be released January 10th. I love "Boy Meets World", it's my favorite all-time show, and as much as I love watching the first 3 seasons on DVD, I would love to have some more episodes to watch on DVD. so please sign the petition, can't say it'll work for sure, but it's worth a try.

No news on it, of course. I'm slightly worried, but it will take a good four announcement-less months to raise my level of concern any higher.

I am also getting worried. I check amazon every day, sometimes 3-4 times a day to see if they put Boy Meets World Season 4 for pre-orders. It would suck to see them cancel Season 4 & the rest of the series on DVD. I want to complete the Boy Meets World set more then any other any other TV Series'.

I'm suprised Disney isn't releasing this series faster. I thought It was one of Disney's best selling series. It took almost a year between seasons two and three.

it's a mystery why they wait so long to release each season. if there's no news in the next 2-3 months, the chances of future releases of BMW will look a whole lot more grim.

Here's the latest non-update on BMW-S4 from TVShowsOnDVD.com
It's a question we get asked a lot since the release was pulled from Buena Vista's January schedule, but unfortunately we don't have an answer. We ask Disney about it all the time, and they keep telling us the same thing, "It's not on the schedule." We're not sure why it was pulled in the first place, and our Disney contacts haven't been able to dig anything up either. The fate of Once & Again Season 3, and Beggars & Choosers Season 1 are unknown as well.
