I'm really excited today two Things i wanted to say after emailing and calling Family Channel forever. I finally got the answer i wanted.

"Thanks for putting in your requests early. "Mr Boogedy", "Bride of Boogedy" and "Child of Glass" are sure to be hits with our viewers, and we hope you enjoy them next Halloween.

I finally get to see these again. YES!!!!

Second Thing Inga Tu Schmista had said previously that they may be coming but its a big may and now that it's December any news on this please? Disney haid said to me previously that they are possibilities but any update would be good. The only thing that would make this day any better is to find that they may be oming to DVD.

I would hope that Boogedy and Bride of Boogedy would come to DVD. Especially since my VHS of them are getting worn out. But at least if they are aired next Halloween, then a DVD release will follow.

 I never got to see Child Of Glass. But I have always wanted to. I hope that it comes out on DVD Soon. I have seen previews for it on some old DIsney Movies that I have from that era. ANd it looks totally awesome and twisted. I know that 3 years ago I saw about 5 minnutes ago on Vault Disney that used to air on the Disney Channel. It looked really awesome. The 5 minnutes I saw was the ending of the movie.

It was a late-night block of vintage Disney programming, including episodes of things like "Zorro" and the old "Mickey Mouse Club", plus the Wonderful World of Color specials.

Well it's March 2004 and I was wondering has anyone heard any rumors? Luke? Inga?

I've called Disney a bunch of times and all i get is it's a possibility. I'm fighting so hard to get these movies released. I recently read that Miracles which was on ABC last year might get a chance due to all the calls and emails Disney has been getting. Surely we can do the same for Mr. Boogedy, Bride of Boogedy, Child of Glass as well as Principle Takes A Holiday, Student Exchange etc.

Last I heard it is still up in the air if it is going to get released or not! I wish they would! I have a bootleg dvd of it, that I bought from www.thesongofthesouth.com even though it's a bootleg, it's better than no copy at all.

OOOO The Boogedy movies scared me so mucvh as a little girl. I've been unable to find them so I would love them on DVD to add to my collection.

I've never saw Child of Glass but I heard it was quite good and scary. I'd but that too.

I dunno as i've never seen ABC Family Channel. The Family Channel I was talking about is in Canada.

I'm so excited I can't wait for Halloween at least if these movies don't come to DVD there coming to TV and I'll finally get the chance to tape them.

No, the Family Channel in Canada is not like ABC Family. From what I hear, it's way, way cooler.

No DVD news on these titles, but I think it's quite possible they're coming at some point, just not by September.

Another Great Series

I hope this isn't true because when I read this I was very dissapointed and sad. I found this on a board that was talking about Child of Glass coming to DVD and this is what someone said.

"I too have seen this great little film from Disney. I also asked the question "Why is this not on DVD." However, I was less patient so I, and a friend, contacted the Disney Archive and what we heard was distressing.

At first, the archive was unaware of the film and actually had to dig to find records of it. When they found the credit for it and looked deeper what was discovered was just completely unfortunate. According the the Disney Archive, the original of this film was damaged/destroyed. Before we jump to conclusions, Disney didn't destroy it. It essentially destroyed itself. The Archive couldn't confirm how, but it appears the original copy either burned or "vinegared" [A reel can degrade due to poor archiving and when that happens it smells like vinegar, thus the name]. All they could confirm was that it was listed as damaged/destroyed.

All is not lost though. It can be restored from VHS copies [which Disney has] or from other copies of the Original reel if it turns up somewhere. Either way, it is a very time-consuming and expensive process. Disney probably won't do this UNLESS people write them so they know this little-known film has an audience.

Sorry to disappoint."

Boogedy Boo- thanks for sharing. If that's true, then it's disheartening, because I'd like to see Child of Glass. Did they mention anything about asking the Archives about the Boogedy films?
