Pom Poko and the Yamdas for sure! Sin City will probably be a rent, and if I like it, a buy.

Yeah if you haven't seen it you probably want to rent it. I mean I say that it's great but you can't take my word for it.

I'll pick up The Simpsons eventually. Still only up to season 3 on that series. I would get Sin City but since it's almost a barebones release I'm waiting for the special edition. I'm definetly going to pick up I LOVE LUCY SEASON 5 Though! If you couldn't tell from my screenname already I LOVE LUCY, lol. :D

Actually, the two Timeless Tales are a guaranteed buy. Anything after is just based on how pricing looks like. :P
Hey, RJKD23 why don't you just buy the Walt Disney Treasure: Silly Symphonies.

Because I like to waste money! :D

Anyways, just saw the Best Buy ad and good news everyone!

Simpsons Season 6 is supposed to be 29.99 (the price tag is placed over Southpark but they're next to each other).

Simpsons Season 5 is priced at 34.99; Family Guy (Season 1 & 2) are individually priced at 37.99.

Oh! And for Sin City (which I assume is 16.99 at Best Buy). Here:

FREE COMIC BOOK instantly, with purchase of Sin City DVD or UMD for PSP gaming system. (Minimum 100 per store. No rainchecks).

And OTHER deals:

Circuit City:
- "Save $10 when you buy Simpsons S6 with any other season of The Simpsons."
- Sin City: 14.99 (with free litho)

Target:
- Season 5 & 6 of Simpsons are both priced at 29.99
- (and for any W&G fan), S4 is $29.99 with a $5 gift card

:eye:

I'd love to get the Simpsons Season 6 but it all depends on if the price is good enough.

Do you have any Walt Disney Treasures because it's better to get those instead of Timeless Tale Volumes....

Walt Disney Silly Symphonies have most of the shorts from the Timeless Tales volumes.
I'll be getting the Timeless Tales Volume 1 & 2, Pom Poko and My Neighbors the Yamadas.

I don't plan to buy the Disney Treasures as it will be too difficult for me to catch up from Waves 1 to 4 and the price for sure will be too expensive.

I already started collecting Classic Cartoon Favorites from Vols 1 to 7 and I'm getting the Vols 8 & 9 this coming Sept 27. :D

I do hope FOX has many Simpsons 6 sets for sales as I'm sure this time they will sell them like hotcakes. Not only the packagin STANDS OUT but also the price is very tempting.

I'm sure even people that are not into TV shows on DVD will make an exception with this one.

Circuit City is the place to buy Sin City because first they have the best price - $14.99 - and secondly if you buy the whole cast slip cover copy of the movie, you will receive FREE Lithographs of the other four covers. To me that is the place to get "Sin City".

I will probably also get "Timeless Tales" Volume one and two even though I have the "Silly Symphonies" tin box.

What are all of you who are buying Sin City going to do when they release the special edition? Just curious.

Keep it for other people to watch & borrow or sell it. You know, I don't even think we're gonna open this one anyway since we already watched it on Sunday night.

I'm just buying it for the lithos & comic book; and some people want to buy Sin City off us. So we're keeping the bonuses.

This was reported on another forum, and you can go to IGN.com to read the article too:
An IGN.com interview with Rodriguez last week had him saying the 2 disc deluxe edition of Sin City is coming out in only 4 months... In addition to commentaries by him, Miller, actors, and Tarantino (on the section he directed) the other noticable feature was the ability to watch eeach of the 3 stories separately, not intertwined, so each movie plays out exactly like the comics would
(side note) Hey, Big Worms, no one's gonna complain about double dipping! They're giving out free stuff with the DVD! :p Plus, with the slipcover choices...man. I'm glad they did that. :)
