Walt: The Man Behind the Myth is on DVD. On a WDW Excluive DVD there is a 30 minute film called the Walt Disney Story, that is narrated by Walt, I'm not sure if that is what you are referring to.

Hey, thanks!
:)

I'm a fan of his series The Prisoner as well, so now my interest is even more peaked!
The Prisoner is one of the greatest TV series ever produced! I am not a number, I am a free man!!

Oh yeah!
Great series...and one to definitely add to anyone's DVD/VHS collection!

The Walt Disney Story that is an "extra" on the WDW DVD is actually the video from the old WDW attarction ... The Walt Disney Story (which today is the camera attraction/store on the east side Main Street). It's actually cut down somewhat - the disk seems to be about 2.55 where the original attraction film was something closer to 3.00! :o

The Walt Disney Story that is available on VHS is not the same; rather it's a documentary that I THINK I've seen on the Disney Channel. I'm this close to breaking down and buying those three... but not yet.

Just picked up but have yet to see Walt: The Man Behind the Dream. Is this the same documentary that was on ABC a while back? And while I'm asking, is the film at Disney-MGM's Walt Disney: One Man's Dream a version of one of these?

I guess I'll have to figure that out in August. :D

What WDW Exclusive DVD are you referring to?

OOPS!

As I wrote that, I remembered I picked up a WDW DVD last time I was there...and yeah, Walt Disney Story is on it! I can be forgetful sometimes!

Frank and Ollie

I hope Frank and Ollie will be considered for DVD its one of my favorites. I have the video from the 75th anniversary set put out in 98. I hope it will be made available again on DVD.

As for the Walt Disney Story which was in the 75th anniversary set im still not sure if its the same as what is on the WDW DVD park exclusive which i picked up for the 100 years celebration. I have not had a chance the compare the two to see if they are the same.

Reluctant Dragon was the third tape in the 75th anniversary set which was just included of course in the Treasures so Frank and Ollie may be the only one left waiting for DVD if the Walt Disney Story is the same.

I hope they put out Zorro and Complete Davy Crockett as the same time so I can take 'em home in one day. I'd love to have em in my collection. :D

Is The Davy Crockett tin not complete???

I thought that the Davy Crockett tin that came out in the first wave had all the episodes from davy crockett included on it. It was one I almost did not get but was glad I finally broke down and bought last July because it is one of my favorite Disney Productions. I thought it was complete but would be happy to learn that I was wrong.

Ub Iwerks and Frank and Ollie were never released on DVD, they would make good extras on a Treasures Set.

There could be a featurette on "Destino," the unmade Treasures short. With drawings and information from Maltin.

I would love to see them actually make Destino, as a cg short. It could be very cool!

No, that's not what I meant. (The last thing I want is for a CG short to be made.) I wanted a behind-the-scenes featurette on it.

But if they could do it, and make it look like Dali's painting come to life, that could be fantastic!

Here what I think the upcoming Walt Disney Treasure waves will be.

Wave 5

Walt Disney Treasures - Silly Symphonies Volume 2
Walt Disney Treasures - The Chronological Donald, Volume 2
Walt Disney Treasures- The Complete Chip 'n' Dale
Walt Disney Treasures- Assorted Treasures Set

Wave 6

Walt Disney Treasures- Song of the South
Walt Disney Treasures- So Dear To My Heart
Walt Disney Treasures- Best of Zorro

Wave 7

Walt Disney Treasures- True Life Adventures
Walt Disney Treasures- Disneyland Fantasyland
Walt Disney Treasures- Walt Disney World USA

Nice list, MMP.

Question, though. Why is it Best of Zorro? How many episodes were there? Cause maybe they could do what they did for Davy Crockett, except split it into volumes.

Can't imagine True Life Adventures coming out so late in the cycle. Last I heard, it was supposed to come out in this last wave, but was pulled at the last minute.

For my money, the next wave will for sure have Donald 2, maybe True Life Adventures. I'd KILL for Silly Symphonies 2, but I just don't know...

I keep hoping for a Walt Disney World set for the next wave of Treasures, but we'll see.

Well, as I said before - two cartoon sets (and only two) will be include future waves to make them attractive to different kind of fans.

Cool lists, except for "Complete Chip n' Dale" - that wouldn't even fill up one disc let alone two.

This idea of a Chip & Dale Treasure comes up every now and then.

Nothing is impossible, I guess. But understand that there are very few "exclusive" C&D shorts. Most of their appearances are in DD shorts. So unless the DD/C&D shorts are omitted from the forthcoming DD sets, a C&D set would imply a lot more double-dipping than what we've seen so far.
