I like the promo picture. Always liked it in the previews for the show.
JeanGreyForever, thank you for all you wrote and tried to explain. I forgot the Snow (Ice?) Queen had put one of her sisters to sleep (she did?). Glad that the 2003 Peter Pan did such a good job. I should really find that film. Maybe in the library during summer. And I guess on OUaT we are still waiting to see how Tiger Lily lost her fairyness and ended up in Neverland?

It looks like Hook murdered a newlywed couple and kept their wedding rings as keepsake.

Well, I was being serious, but I get what you mean.
I've tried to stay unspoiled, as far as what the songs actually sound like, so I can enjoy it in the moment.
And I assume we'll know whether the show is getting a final, seventh season or not in the next week or two. I've been looking around, and most sources say it's a lock or at least likely. It helps that the ratings went up for the last episode and will no doubt go back up to 1.0 or better for the musical ep and the 2-ep finale.

Zelena running over the Black Fairy was hilarious.
Hilight of the episode!
eh, not really looking forward to next week...

This was an amazing episode! One of the best in a long time. I wasn't really excited at first for the musical scenario because I didn't think the songs would be very good but I really enjoyed all of them. I can barely pick a favorite. I knew several of the cast members could sing like Lana and Colin but I never knew Jennifer and Rebecca could sing so well. Regina and Zelena both had epic villain songs and Snow and Charming's duet wasn't as cringeworthy as I thought it would be...I didn't think I would like their song at all from the promo but it was really great as well. I actually really enjoyed the Charmings onscreen again which I haven't felt in a long time. I was afraid the songs would be awkwardly shoehorned in but they were actually relevant to the story and the wedding was a wonderful finale.
This is the first time I've felt excited to watch the next week episode and I haven't felt that since the Season 1 and 2 days. OUAT really loves its 2 part finales and from the promo it almost seems like Emma has forgotten magic again. Another thing these 2 part finales seem to love is alternate realities seeing how Season 3 and 4 both ended that way and so did the Season 6B finale. I was ambivalent about this show's renewal or not but I hope it does get another season, whether in reboot form or not.

I love-love-loved “Wicked Always Wins”! So cute and Mader was one of the better singers (along with Goodwin and Hook’s actor). Morrison and Parilla were weak, but I didn’t hate any of the songs. The ending with everyone singing was probably my favorite after WAW. Rumpel's "I'd rather gouge me eyes out" was hilarious.
I really loved the episode, easily the best of this season, imo. And I’m glad, if next Sunday is the end, that this was one of the last eps.

The musical episode's conceit was silly and the efforts to connect everything were a little cringey but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I really liked almost all of the songs and the actors' singing voices as well as the sound design were better than I expected. The Charmings vs Evil Queen sing-off was unnecessary though. My favorite songs were "Powerful Magic", "Wicked Always Wins", "Emma's Theme", and "A Happy Beginning".
The season finale seems very promising judging from the promo. It looks like the show's going out with a bang.
Regarding the potential 7th season, it will be odd not to have Emma and her family (Charmings, Henry) on the show but have her husband Hook remain as a series regular. How is that going to work exactly?

That's disappointing that Emma won't be in the show anymore. I wonder if that will influence whether or not the show gets another season or not. Especially since without her, there won't be much of a reason to keep Hook either since it wouldn't make sense story-wise to separate them. It's probably better for this show to end then unless they decide to focus on Regina and Zelena which I wouldn't mind.

I guess Ill be the one Debbie Downer and say I found it all rather mediocre.
also Marco was there but not August. What a terrible friend he is to Emma to not bother going to her wedding!

Emma will be coming back in one episode, the season 7 premiere.
Q: The one Season 7 episode you have promised to return for, is it necessarily the premiere? Or could it come later down the line?
Jennifer Morrison: I believe it’s the season premiere; I can’t remember contractually if it was slotted as exactly that, but I believe it’s the season premiere.

So, with only one episode, 10 bucks say that Emma does die.

I would’ve thought the one episode would’ve been the season 7 finale.
Some have speculated that a reboot would center around the Wish Realm where the Evil Queen went to live and where Robin is alive, which certainly sounds likely considering Emma would not be there and I sincerely doubt they’d kill her.

I LOVED the musical episode so, so, SO much!!! The only song I thought wasn't very good was "Wicked Always Wins". I thought Colin, Jennifer, and the Charmings were the best singers. I was so surprised by how good and lovely Jennifer sang! It was beautiful, really perfect to use for that part of the episode. I'm really dissapointed she won't come back in the next season. I would watch the show without her but for now I can't even see any reason to even have the show without her.
But "Wicked Always Wins" was not awful and I was surprised I thought all the rest of the songs were good. I loved the ending song the most probably. It was perfect (except when they were just like "La la la" and throwing their hands in the air, it was rather cheesy). I liked both of the last songs and thought they were pretty perfect. I hate how the Blue Fairy now has a weird neck covering item of clothing... And why didn't Emma wear her mother's wedding dress now that she could turn it white again?

Any show that might feature
Robin as a main lead is one I don't want to watch.

According to
Deadline, Lana Parrilla, Robert Carlyle and Colin O’Donoghue are all expected to return as series regulars in season 7.

Carlyle! Drat it all.

At least Belle most likely won't be returning (since according to my above theory
she's dead in the Wish Realm), but that doesn't make me any more interested in seeing more of Rumpel.
JeanGreyForever wrote:Any show that might featureRobin as a main lead is one I don't want to watch.
The bright side is Wish Robin was more interesting than real Robin ever was, but I'm not a fan of the actor anyway.

Stick a fork in it. This show has been going downhill for quite some time now, and very few shows ever survive losing their lead; especially a lead that the entire premise of the show was built around. If they don't cancel it now, I'd say it lasts till mid-season next year at best. I love Lana and Colin and hope they can score great new gigs (I really think Colin has a future in the MCU somewhere), but I don't think beating this dead horse will do them any favors.

Once Upon a Time has been renewed for a seventh season!!!
I mean, I know it won't be the same as it was without Rebecca Mader, Goodwin, and Morrison, but I'll stick it out to the end. If I made it through season 6, I can make it through anything.
