Yeah, you do have to wonder whether this marketing strategy ultimately is going to backfire on Disney down the road?

Folks could be like, "Yeah, I saw Tangled thinking it was about this snarky guy, but it really was a princess. Then I saw Frozen thinking it was about this goofy snowman and it was about a princess, too. There's no way in hell I'm seeing Big Hero 6 (or Zootopia or Giants or Moana). Sure, they make it look like it's a super hero movie (or whatever schtick for Giants or Moana), but no doubt it's about singing and dancing princesses too."

(I hope that isn't the case, and Wreck It Ralph wasn't (really) about princesses, but if you "lie" often enough, people will eventually believe everything you say is a lie)

People aren't idiots. Those that have watched the trailer would certainly know that Tangled and Frozen have princesses.

The trailers honestly aren't that misleading. Obviously, they would be more comedy centric but I believe audiences would know that and would come into the cinema expecting more drama. Most animated/family films do feature drama and this would be known.

I had a dream about the soundtrack listing, btw! its driving me crazy
Hey, tell us about your dream ;-) !!!

I hope there will be more than only 4 or 5 Beck tracks ( you know, like those poor un-complete soundtracks of Tarzan, Lion King, Hunchback, Beauty and Beast...)

My other concern is about a potential presence of TOO MANY SONGS IN A RAW at the BEGINNING of the movie...
1: Overture :traditionnal sami tune/ice harvesters song
2 : a few minutes later, Anna : For The First Time in Forever
3 : a few minutes later, she meets Hans then the Funny Love Song
4 : a few minutes later, coronation, drama scene/Let it Go
5 : a few minutes later, Anna leaves, meets Kristoff at Olaf's / Reindeer Serenade
6 : a few minutes later, they meet Olaf : In Summer...

It would be like SIX songs in the first act !!!!

+ Troll Song and reprises during the two other acts ?

Strange Balance...
I'd say that Let it Go marks the end of the first act. Numbers 5 and 6 would already fall under the second act.

Besides, as mentioned, Disney musicals do tend to be a bit top heavy.

Yeah a lot Disney musicals are really top heavy with their songs before the climactic action kicks in. The "first act" might be longer than people expect too. There are a lot of characters and storylines to introduce. And I say the more songs the better. We're not getting another musical for years after this.

I know you're mostly joking around, but the second trailer makes it pretty clear that this has a Disney Princess in it, as that it focuses on Anna more than anyone else (even Olaf). Sure it doesn't advertise it being a musical but that's not that big of a deal to most people. Anyone going into a Disney film involving princesses knows that someone's most likely going to break out into song.

Wow... So much understanding, wisdom and kindess from a character EVERYONE expected to hate; and IMHO he's now becoming one of the best Disney sidekicks since the enchanted objects from Beauty and the Beast.

The only official US posters so far are the teaser poster with the logo and snowflakes and the one with the characters covered with snow. Maybe with the next trailer they’ll release a new poster as well.

By the way, thanks for all the images, Mobje! :)
Though many weren't new, they were in an incredible higher resolution.

And how many new articles, Sotiris! It looks like it was the press day at Disney or something like that. I’ve only read two of them, but all of them look interesting, I’ll read the rest tomorrow when I have time.

The soundtrack will include deleted songs. I think this hasn't happened for a new WDAS release since The Emperor's New Groove.
Q: Are there a lot of deleted scenes that you can put on the DVD?

BUCK: Oh, yes! We’re already looking at it.

LEE: There will be some of that, yes. There was stuff we had to cut.

BUCK: And there will be some deleted songs that will be on the deluxe edition CD. You'll have the one that’s just the regular one, and then there will be other editions. You’ll get to hear the deleted songs, too.

That's good news! Hmm... Do you think it would be possible at all that they'd include some of the OLD songs? As in, Menken's work? And I wonder if the deleted songs will just be demos or if they'll be full recordings.
